Ufo - Avvistamento di massa a Firenze (1954) Ufo - Avvistamento di massa a Firenze (1954) Erano le 14,30 del 27 Ottobre 1954 alla redazione del giornale giunse la telefonata di uno studente di ingegneria, Alfredo Jacopozzi, che affermava di vedere, insieme ad altre persone, diversi dischi volanti nel cielo di Firenze. Oggetti visti anche dal giornalista salito, nel frattempo, sui tetti di via Ricasoli per osservare una "cosa" bianca, tonda, lucida, immobile. Ad un tratto tra l'oggetto e la cupola del duomo sfrecciò un altro "palloncino bianco", più veloce di un aereo; poi un altro "disco" e un altro ancora. Sei oggetti che lasciarono al loro passaggio degli strani "fiocchi" bianchi simile a bambagia. I telefoni impazzirono. Avvistamenti ovunque. Una voce concitata annunciava che a Sesto un disco si era aperto e diviso in tre parti; queste si erano dirette in tre direzioni diverse mentre "delle ragnatele lucenti cadevano lentamente al suolo" posandosi sui tetti, alberi, auto; ovunque. Poi avvenne la cosa più clamorosa il cui ricordo è ancora vivo nella mente dei numerosi testimoni che assisterono all'inconsueto fenomeno. Allo stadio Comunale si stava giocando la partita d'allenamento fra la Fiorentina e la Pistoiese. Fra i giocatori della Fiorentina ricordiamo Costagliola, Magnini, Cervato, Chiappella, Rosetta, Segato, Mariani, Gren, Virgili, Gratton, Bizzarri, Sarti, Capucci, Del Gratta, Scaramucci, Biagi, Orzan, Luna, Tassinari, Ghersetich, Buzzin, Vidal. Per la Pistoiese Vadi, Pierallini, Vettori, Caiumi, Tuci, Lomi, Balsimelli, Lenci Carpini, Vannucchi, Fossi. Sopra lo stadio volteggiarono due misteriosi oggetti volanti. La partita venne interrotta; i tifosi delle due squadre, stupefatti, alzarono gli occhi al cielo a guardare le evoluzioni degli oggetti; anche Ferruccio Valcareggi osservava la scena attonito insieme ai giocatori delle due squadre. Romolo Tuci, al tempo capitano della Pistoiese, racconta: "Era una bella giornata. A un certo punto ci accorgemmo che gli spettatori guardavano in aria. Venne spontaneo fermarsi anche per noi giocatori. Io vidi come dei piccoli anelli lontani, che cosa fossero non lo so davvero. Insomma, fra noi c'era chi li vedeva e chi no, e c'era anche chi non ci fece caso, credendo chissà a che cosa. Per quanto tempo rimase sospesa la partita, sinceramente non lo ricordo, sono passati cinquant'anni, come faccio a dire dieci minuti, o di più? Però guardavamo tutti in aria. Cinquant'anni fa, ci pensate?". Tutta la città si era fermata col naso in su ad osservare le evoluzioni degli oggetti. Non si trattò certamente di allucinazione collettiva; diecimila persone allo stadio, telefonate da ogni parte della città e da fuori città, Sesto, Peretola. Tutti a descrivere oggetti nel cielo e una strana nevicata di ragnatele. Il signor Jacopozzi e altre persone in sua compagnia guardarono gli oggetti con il binocolo e raccolsero la misteriosa bambagia. Dalle osservazioni sarebbe emerso che gli oggetti erano a forma di goccia di acqua, altri a forma di cappello da mandarino cinese; procedevano a velocità elevatissima avvitandosi nel procedere avanti e si producevano in complicate evoluzioni. La bambagia raccolta in una provetta di vetro sterile, appariva come un filo del baco da seta; luccicava e si dimostrava appiccicosa aderendo immediatamente al tubetto di vetro. Anche i giornalisti riuscirono a prendere della bambagia e insieme a quella dello studente venne analizzata dal professor Canneri Giovanni direttore dell'Istituto di Chimica Analitica dell'Università fiorentina, con l'aiuto del suo assistente professore Danilo Cozzi. Dall'esame microscopico e da quello spettrografico risultò che la sostanza raccolta a Sesto e Lungo l'Africo era una "sostanza a struttura fibrosa, notevole resistenza meccanica alla trazione e alla torsione. Al riscaldamento imbruniva lasciando un residuo fusibile e trasparente. Il residuo fusibile spettrograficamente mostrava contenere prevalentemente: Boro, Silicio, Calcio e Magnesio. Sostanza a struttura macromolecolare probabilmente filiforme. In linea puramente ipotetica, la sostanza esaminata nella scala microchimica poteva essere un vetro borosilicico". Secondo il professore poteva essere fabbricata insufflando aria ad altissima velocità su una massa di vetro fuso ad alta temperatura. Tanto più l'aria è veloce tanto più la temperatura di fusione è alta e tanto più la fibra è sottile. Dopo tale dichiarazione molti "esperti" si profusero in tentativi di spiegazioni plausibili del fenomeno. Il fatto che le analisi abbiano stabilito la composizione del materiale non spiegava la curiosa manifestazione perché non era facile capire in che modo un razzo, un reattore o un "disco", poteva rilasciare una scia vetrosa. It was broadcast from the Municipal Auditorium on KWKH radio. These performances were recorded October 16, 1954, January 15, 1955, January 22, 1955, and August 20, 1955. Elvis performed on the Louisiana Hayride from Fall 1954 until April 1956. These performances are available on Elvis At The Hayride. Written by Arthur Crudup. Elvis recorded it July 5, 1954 at Sun Records-his first commercial recording there. It was the first Elvis record played on the radio. Dewey Phillips played it 14 times on his Red, Hot and Blue show and he received 47 telephone calls from listeners when it was played. Elvis interviewed on the program later that evening. The single did not chart nationally, but it reached #4 in Memphis. Fewer than 20,000 copies were sold. The flip side was Blue Moon of Kentucky. Elvis sang it on his Grand Ole Opry appearance on October 2, 1954 and during his many appearances on the Louisiana Hayride and while touring the south in 54-56. Elvis also sang it in That's The Way It Is in 1970. Elvis also sang it June 21, 1977 in Rapid City, South Dakota, which was used in the TV Special Elvis in Concert.
