1982 - Tron - Trailer Kevin Flynn is a former employee of the software corporation ENCOM, now running a arcade. Flynn has been trying to hack into ENCOM's mainframe computer to find evidence that ENCOM's senior executive Ed Dillinger stole four video games he created. But Dillinger's supercomputer "Master Control Program" foils Flynn's efforts and dictates and controls most of the computer systems. One night, Flynn's former girlfriend Lora and her boyfriend, ace computer programmer Alan Bradley helps Flynn break into ENCOM to shut down the MCP with Alan's security program "TRON". But MCP uses Lora's matter transmission program and converts Flynn into data and sends him into the computer. Flynn finds himself in a electronic world ruled by the MCP and his evil chief henchman Sark, where computer programs are the alter-egos of their creators and are forced to compete in gladiatorial games. With help from Tron, a heroic and fearless security program and his lover, Yori, Flynn sets out destroy the MCP and help Tron liberate the system from the MCP's control, by destroying the MCP is Flynn's only way of returning to the real world. Anton Karas - Der dritte Mann - live - 1982 Anton Karas - Filmmusik Der dritte Mann - live - 1982 Anton Karas (* 7. Juli 1906 in Wien; † 10. Januar 1985 ebenda) war ein österreichischer Zitherspieler, Komponist und Gastwirt. Karas wuchs im klassischen Wiener Arbeiterbezirk Brigittenau mit vier Geschwistern auf. Während einer Schlosserlehre besuchte er Abendkurse an der Pollux-Musikschule. Nachdem er 1925 von seinem Arbeitgeber gekündigt wurde, war er fortan hauptberuflich in verschiedenen Heurigenlokalen als Zitherspieler tätig. 1948 wurde er vom englischen Filmregisseur Carol Reed, der für seinen in Wien spielenden Film Der dritte Mann eine passende Begleitmusik suchte, entdeckt. 1949 komponierte Karas das weltberühmte Harry Lime Theme, benannt nach der Filmfigur Harry Lime, und trug damit wesentlich zum legendären Erfolg dieses Films bei, der in der Tat in einem nicht geringen Maß von dieser Musik geradezu lebt. Die eindringliche Melodie wurde zum Hit, der bis dahin völlig unbekannte Karas wurde zum umjubelten Star. Bereits drei Wochen nach Erscheinen des Filmes hatte er 100.000 Schallplatten verkauft. Er ging auf eine mehrjährige Welttournee, wobei er u.a. vor dem Papst und dem japanischen Kaiser Hirohito auftrat. Ivanhoe (1982) Rebecca, Olivia Hussey, James Mason James Mason is outstanding as Isaac of York, and Olivia Hussey's Rebecca is authentic. This is the best dramatization of Ivanhoe ever produced. One of the strengths of this film was, to my mind, the triumvirate of villains Bois-Guilbert, de Bracy, and Front de Boeuf. Sam Neill is brilliant as the knight torn between his order and his obsession with a "Jewess heathen", and Stuart Wilson shines in the supporting role of the besotted de Bracy. Scott, writing 700 years after the time of his story, is not afflicted by the same prejudices as his characters; at least part of his project with Ivanhoe is to present a sympathetic portrait of his Jewish characters. Rebecca, in particular, is one of the most sympathetic and nuanced characters in the novel, and has often been a favorite of readers, many of whom wish that Ivanhoe could marry Rebecca at the end of the novel instead of Rowena. This was true even during Scott's own lifetime; Scott actually issued a statement defending the plot of his novel as he wrote it, saying that, because of medieval social prejudice, it would have been impossible for a Christian knight to marry a Jew. He also acknowledged that Rebecca was the character most deserving of Ivanhoe's love, but wrote that in life, the people who deserve the most do not always get what they deserve. Interestingly, it is thought that the character of Rebecca is based on a real woman, Rebecca Gratz, who lived in Philadelphia, and whom Scott learned of from his literary acquaintance Washington Irving.
