Sukiyaki Western Django (2007) Movie Trailer - HD Quality http://www.CentralMovieNetwork.com/tmd.htm Sukiyaki Western Django (film) Sukiyaki Western: Django (スキヤキ・ウエスタン ジャンゴ, Sukiyaki Uesutan Jango?) is a 2007 Japanese film by Takashi Miike. The English language Western is inspired by Sergio Corbucci's "Spaghetti Western" Django, as well as the legions of copycats and ripoffs. It has numerous references to that movie, including use of the Luis Bacalov theme song, but tells a completely different story, bearing more direct resemblance to Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo and Sergio Leone's A Fistful of Dollars. Sukiyaki Western Django Plot Set a few hundred years after the Genpei War, the Minamoto and Taira gangs face off in a town named Yuta, while a deadly gunman comes to the aid of the townsfolk. Sukiyaki Western Django Cast Hideaki Ito as The Gunman Koichi Sato as Kiyomori Yusuke Iseya as Yoshitsune Masanobu Ando as Yoichi Takaaki Ishibashi as Benkei Shun Oguri as Akira Masato Sakai as Shigemori Yoshino Kimura as Shizuka Teruyuki Kagawa as Sheriff Hoanka Kaori Momoi as Ruriko Yutaka Matsushige as Toshio Renji Ishibashi as Mura Yoji Tanaka as Munemori Toshiyuki Nishida as Piripero Quentin Tarantino as Ringo Ruka Uchida Sansei Shiomi Hideaki Sato Christian Storms Sukiyaki Western Django Other credits Art Direction: Nao Sasaki Costume Design: Michiko Kitamura Dialogue coach: Nadia Venesse Sukiyaki Western Django Manga On June 8, 2007, a manga adaptation by Kotobuki Shiriagari began serialization on Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior. Sukiyaki Western Django Critical reception When Sukiyaki Western Django premiered as part of the "Midnight Madness" program at the Toronto International Film Festival, it received mixed reviews. Cam Lindsay of Exclaim! magazine wrote admiringly: "The fast-paced action is well staged on a set that borrows from both western and samurai traditions; Miike mixes both good old gunplay (a Gatling gun that's housed in the original film's iconic coffin) and martial arts swordplay, which intermingle cohesively until the last fight. Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of Miike's western is his decision to use a Japanese cast to speak English. Supported by English subtitles, it's a peculiar choice that at first feels like a novelty, only to fade into the film's absorbing environment. Sukiyaki Western Django feels very much like a genuine western, and with it Miike demonstrates his mastery of working a genre film until it becomes a creation of his very own." On the other end of the spectrum, Will Sloan of Inside Toronto wrote: "This is a crazy, fast-paced spectacle of a movie, with some stunning action scenes and gorgeously colourful production design. The problem is, it's an empty spectacle. Miike pays homage to the spaghetti westerns of Sergio Leone and Sergio Corbucci, but forgets that those directors genuinely loved the kitschy pop culture they emulated instead of regarding it with smug superiority. Kill Bill was a comic book, yes, but Tarantino allowed his actors room to create characters the audience could care about, while Miike, by having his cast speak awkward English, is perversely trying to keep their characters two-dimensional and keep the audience distant...Ultimately, Sukiyaki Western Django is an exhausting experience. This is not a film you become involved in -- it isn't funny or engaging. Rather, it's one that you're supposed to watch with a cool, hip sense of ironic detachment, sitting in the audience and saying to yourself, "Aren't I cool for laughing at this?" How could anyone enjoy such a self-conscious time at the movies?" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukiyaki_Western:_Django Tags: Sukiyaki Western Django official movie trailer theatrical film preview 2008 teaser cowboy Heike Genji cult 三池崇史 スキヤキ ウエスタン ジャンゴ japanese gangster art action adventure miike quentin tarantino Asian Tarantino Hideaki It Isyea Yusuke Kaori Momoi |

12 (2007) Movie Trailer http://www.CentralMovieNetwork.com/tmd.htm 12 (film) 12 is a 2007 film by Russian director and actor Nikita Mikhalkov. The film was presented at the Venice Film Festival, where Mikhalkov was awarded the Special Lion for Overall Work. It is an adaptation of Reginald Rose'a play 12 Angry Men and a remake of Sidney Lumet's 12 Angry Men movie. 12 Plot The jury decides whether a young Chechen boy is guilty in the murder of his stepfather, a Russian military officer. Initially it seems that the boy was the murderer. However, one of the jurors (Sergei Makovetsky) votes in favour of acquittal. Since the verdict must be rendered unanimously, the jurors review the case, and one by one come to the conclusion that the boy was framed. The murder was performed by criminals involved in construction business. The discussion is repeatedly interrupted by flashbacks from the boy's wartime childhood. In the end the foreman (Mikhalkov himself) states that he was sure the boy did not commit the crime but he will not vote in favour of acquittal since the acquitted boy will be subsequently killed by the same criminals. In addition, the foreman reveals that he is a former intelligence agency officer. After a brief argument, the foreman agrees to join the majority. Later the foreman tells the boy that he will find the murderers. 12 Cast Sergei Makovetsky - 1st Juror Nikita Mikhalkov - 2nd Juror Sergei Garmash - 3rd Juror Valentin Gaft - 4th Juror Alexei Petrenko - 5th Juror Yuri Stoyanov - 6th Juror Sergei Gazarov - 7th Juror Mikhail Efremov - 8th Juror Alexei Gorbunov - 9th Juror Sergei Artsybashev - 10th Juror Viktor Verzhbitsky - 11th Juror Roman Madyanov - 12th Juror Alexander Adabashyan - Bailiff Apti Magamayev - Chechen boy 12 Reaction The movie received mixed critical opinion in Russia and abroad. The Venice Film Festival Jury defined the movie as "confirmation of his [Mikhalkov's] mastery in exploring and revealing to us, with great humanity and emotion, the complexity of existence". Former Russian President Vladimir Putin together with the film crew, Chechnya's President Ramzan Kadyrov and Ingushetia's President Murat Zyazikov watched the film in Putin's residence in Novo-Ogarevo. After the screening Putin remarked, that the film "brought a tear to the eye". On the other hand, many opposition journalists labeled the film as für-Putin, pointing that the main hero played by Mikhalkov is a secret service officer, while a juror, supposedly representing a Russian liberal (played by Sergei Artsybashev), resembles caricature. Another juror (a television producer played by Yuri Stoyanov), is seen by many as a caricature of Russian producer Dmitry Lesnevsky, who is known for collaboration with another Russian director Andrei Zvyagintsev. 12 Awards On September 8, 2007, the film received a special Golden Lion for the "consistent brilliance" of its work and was praised by many critics at the Venice Film Festival. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. 12 Factual errors In the United States, where Twelve Angry Men was set, generally juries in criminal cases must render their verdict unanimously, whether "guilty" or "not guilty"; this film follows the same premise. However, in Russia the jury must return a "not guilty" verdict if at least six jurors out of twelve vote "not guilty". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12_(film) Tags: 12 twelve 2007 movie trailer 2008 film preview theatrical short clip Nikita Mikhalkov Makovetsky Sergei Garmash Valentin Gaft Petrenko Yuri Stoyanov Gazarov Mikhail Efremov Alexei Gorbunov Artsybashev Viktor Verzhbitsky Roman Madyanov Alexander Adabashyan |

A Jihad for Love (2007) - Movie Trailer In a time when Islam is under tremendous attack from within and without, "A Jihad for Love" is a daring documentary filmed in twelve countries and nine languages. Muslim gay filmmaker Parvez Sharma has gone where the silence is loudest, filming with great risk in nations where government permission to make this film was not an option. "A Jihad for Love" is Mr. Sharma's debut and is the world's first feature documentary to explore the complex global intersections between Islam and homosexuality. Parvez enters the many worlds of Islam by illuminating multiple stories as diverse as Islam itself. The film travels a wide geographic arc presenting us lives from India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, South Africa and France. Always filming in secret and as a Muslim, Parvez makes the film from within the faith, depicting Islam with the same respect that the film's characters show for it. "A Jihad for Love" is produced by Sandi DuBowski (Director/Producer of the award-winning "Trembling Before G-d") and Parvez Sharma in association with ZDF-Arte, Channel 4, LOGO, SBS-Australia, The Sundance Documentary Fund and The Katahdin Foundation. In Western media, the concept of 'jihad' is often narrowly equated with holy war. But Jihad also has a deeper meaning, its literal Arabic being 'struggle' or 'to strive in the path of God'. In this film we meet several characters engaged in their personal Jihad's for love. The people in this film have a lot to teach us about love. Their pursuit of love has brought them into conflicts with their countries, families, and even themselves. Such is the quandary of being both homosexual and Muslim, a combination so taboo that very little about it has been documented. As a result, the majority of gay and lesbian Muslims must travel a twisting, lonely and often dangerous road. The majority of Muslims believe that homosexuality is forbidden by the Qur'an and many scholars quote Hadith (sayings attributed to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) to directly condemn homosexuality. Islam, already the second largest religion in the world is also the fastest growing. 50 nations have a Muslim majority. In a few of those nations laws interpreted from alleged Qur'anic prohibitions of male homosexuality (lesbianism is allegedly absent from the Qur'an) are enforced by religious, tribal or military authorities to monitor, entrap, imprison, torture and even execute homosexuals. Even for those who migrate to Europe or North America and adopt Western personae of "gay" or "queer," the relative freedoms of new homelands are mitigated by persistent racial profiling and intensified state surveillance after the attacks of 9/11 and train bombings in Madrid and London. As a result, many gay and lesbian Muslims end up renouncing their religion completely. But the real-life characters of A "Jihad for Love" aren't willing to abandon a faith they cherish and that sustains them. Instead, they struggle to reconcile their ardent belief with the innate reality of their being. The international chorus of gay and lesbian Muslims brought together by "A Jihad for Love" doesn't seek to vilify or reject Islam, but rather negotiate a new relationship to it. In doing so, the film's extraordinary characters attempt to point the way for all Muslims to move beyond the hostile, war-torn present, toward a more hopeful future. As one can imagine, it was a difficult decision for the subjects to participate in the film due to the violence they could face. It took the filmmaker six years to finish this film and he like those who have stepped forward to tell their stories feel that they are Islam's most unlikely storytellers. All of them feel that this film is too important for over a billion Muslims-and all the non-Muslims in the world-for them to say no. They are willing to take the risk in their quest to lay equal claim to their profoundly held faith. A Jihad for Love's characters each have vastly different personal takes on Islam, some observing a rigorously orthodox regimen, others leading highly secular lifestyles while remaining spiritually devout. As the camera attentively captures their stories, the film's gay and lesbian characters emerge in all their human complexity, giving the viewer an honest rendering of their lives while complicating our assumptions about a monolithic Muslim community. Crucially, this film speaks with a Muslim voice, unlike other documentaries about sexual politics in Islam made by Western directors. In the hope of opening a dialogue that has been mostly non-existent in Islam's recent history, and defining jihad as a "struggle" rather than a "war," the film presents the struggle for love. Transformers 2007 Movie Trailer Fan Cut ft. Die Hard 4 This is a fan recut of the original Transformers teaser trailer. This was done just weeks before a brand new Transformers trailer was officially released so I had limited footage to work with at the time. As I felt the original teaser needed a bit more "oomph" I added new music, reordered and retimed some scenes, created some new titles, inserted footage from the "Transformers Mars Teaser" and then filled the gaps slyly with footage from Die Hard 4 (which was not released at the time). Lots of people have noted the use of Die Hard footage which I never actually hid. Had more Transformers footage been available at the time I would have used that. But heck, the Die Hard footage is *nearly* seamless. There's actually around 8 shots in the trailer from Die Hard - can you spot them all? Answers on a postcode please. Hope you enjoy the trailer!
