About Liu Fang (guzheng & pipa) - an extract (4min) from a CBC TV documentary The charm of traditional Chinese music interpreted by Liu Fang on pipa (Chinese lute or guitar)with four strings and guzheng (Chinese zither or harp)with 21 strings spanned over movable bridges. Liu Fang has achieved international reputation for her masterful and deeply spirited playing of Chinese pipa and guzheng music from the traditional Chinese classical repertoire. The video clip is an extract (4min.) from a documentary by CBC TV (BravoCanada) broadcasted on January 12, 2008, 8:30pm about a collaboration ("The Long Song Project") between three world class musicians. In this clip, Madame Lorraine Chalifoux, highly-respected producer of Radio-Canada for traditional and classical music talks about Liu Fang and her music. About the music in this video: The guzheng solo is an adaptation of the traditional guqin (古琴) solo "Three variation of plum blossom"(梅花三弄)； Pipa solo is an extract from the "King Chu doffs his armour"(霸王卸甲).
