The Allman Brothers Band-Ramblin' Man This is a song by the American southern rock band, The Allman Brothers Band. The song is titled, "Ramblin' Man". The Allman Brothers in my opinion are the greatest southern rock band ever, and started the southern rock music scene. This song makes me feel proud to be from Georgia, born only a few hours from Macon, which is where the Allman Brothers Band was started. I also want to pay my respects to Duane Allman, lead guitarist and superb slide-guitarist for the band. He died at the age of 24 in a motorcycle accident, crashing into a flatbed truck, in 1971. Truly a loss... My father who was alive at the time recalls the moment and says it was as if he lost a family member, and many people felt that way.
