Wireless antennae testing a video describing the 2 wireless antennas : the cantenna and the biquad . the test is at home conected to a wireless network that is very near . you will se the basic biquad antenna and the tipical cantenna. there ar some comparitions betwen the antennas . the cantenna is directional , making it ideal for point to point conections . the biquad is larger in the angle that radiates the WIFI signal , making it ideal as a antenna for a sectorial WiFI antenna site . I had internet and still got it for some 1 and a half years trough the antennas that is in this video :) Tags: wireless antenna testing biquad canntenna network diy gadget |

NGC 4038/4039 Antennae Galaxy formed by Colliding Galaxy The sequence begins by depicting the collision of two large galaxies which now form The Antennae. Gas and stars from the galaxies are ejected into long arcs. The animation then shows how collisions between huge gas clouds in the central region of the merging system trigger a stellar baby boom. Next, as seen in a closer view, the most massive of these stars race through their evolution in a few million years. These stars end their lives as they explode as supernovas that further heat the clouds and enrich them with heavy elements. In conclusion, the animation dissolves into Chandra's X-ray image of The Antennae galaxies. Credit: Simulation: NASA/STScI/G. Bacon Animation: NASA/CXC/A.Hobart X-ray: NASA/CXC/SAO/G. Fabbiano et al. Wasp Cleaning Its Antennae, Bluebottle Makes Way For It The wasp has got into a mess from being deep inside the plum. When it turns toward the bluebottle, the fly is clearly nervous about it and moves away, returning as soon as the wasp goes back to feeding. The wasp hesitates when turned toward the fly. It could attack it, though the fly is a bit too big for it. It's enjoying feeding on the plum. Clearly the fly knows that the wasp is dangerous but is unlikely to attack. Altogether, the clip gives remarkable insight into their communal life, foraging on the plum tree. Edited Etherwave Standard Antenna Mod Demo http://www.thomasgrillo.com This modification also works on Wavefront's travel case theremin, as well as the Etherwave Standard. Not all theremins exhibit chirp on contact. This is a slightly more professional looking remastered version of the antenna mod demo with explanitory text. I used nylon sleeving on both antennae to get rid of unwanted sounds when touching the volume antenna, and allowing for cool effects. Note, this works best with the Etherwave Standard. The Etherwave pro does not require these mods. Dance your PhD- Christin Murphy Hydrodynamic trail detection in marine organisms Hydrodynamic trails are generated when objects move though a fluid medium. These vortices provide robust, persistent stimuli that can convey spatial and temporal information. Facial vibrissae, or whiskers, in phocid seals, and antennae in lobsters contain receptors that detect waterborne vibrations and hydrodynamic trails. This is critical for prey capture and predator avoidance, allowing hunting and navigation in dark or murky waters. In this piece, there is interplay between the detection of hydrodynamic trails by organisms at different trophic levels in the marine environment. The movement of the lobsters generates hydrodynamic signals with spinning vortex structures, conveying information about their locomotion and spatial location. These signals propagate through the fluid medium and are detected by the whiskers of a nearby seal. The receptors on the whiskers of this animal enable it to track and localize its potential prey. However, the antennae of the lobsters also possess hydrodynamic receptors. The lobsters sense the predators approach and attempt to escape. Once a shark begins swimming overhead, its hydrodynamic trails are sensed by all of the nearby organisms, signaling the presence of a large predator. Detection of the sharks hydrodynamic signals allows the smaller organisms to seek shelter and avoid predation. The hydrodynamic wake extending behind the shark is visualized in this dance by the trailing movement of the silks. The fire and illuminated hoops in the next segment represent the availability of hydrodynamic signals in low light conditions. In environments where visual information is limited, such as dark, deep and murky water, hydrodynamic signals become the predominant stimuli. Mobile Phone Gun - .22 caliber gun disguised as cell phone Cell Phone Guns Discovered. Hitting the 5, 6, 7 and 8 buttons on the phone gun fires four .22-caliber rounds in quick succession. LONDON, Dec. 6 At first sight it looks like a regular cell phone same size, same shape, same overall appearance. But beneath the digital face lies a .22-caliber pistol a phone gun capable of firing four rounds in quick succession with a touch of the otherwise standard keypad. European law enforcement officials stunned by the discovery of these deadly decoys say phone guns are changing the rules of engagement in Europe. "We find it very, very alarming," says Wolfgang Dicke of the German Police union. "It means police will have to draw their weapons whenever a person being checked reaches for their mobile phone." The guns, which are capable of firing four rounds in quick succession, are believed to have been manufactured in Yugoslavia or Croatia. The "antennae" of the gutted phones function as gun barrels and numbers 5 through 8 on the keypad as triggers. Security experts say the cell phone guns, as well as other "improvised explosive devices," can be detected by screening equipment now in use at airports internationally. Though they have been the subject of security alerts in the U.S. http://www.phoneshopuk.biz Tags: mobile phone gun cell .22 caliber disguised 007 spy mi5 kgb |
