Krematorium 2 at Auschwitz-Birkenau CHECK OUT MY CHANNEL FOR MANY MORE ORIGINAL HOLOCAUST RELATED FILMS This is the remains of Krematorium 2 at Auschwitz-Birkenau. This gas chamber killed around half a million people in 1943-1944 reaching a peak during the deportation of people from Hungary in May - June 1944. More people were killed at this spot than anywhere else on the globe. Unfortunately as can be seen it is not protected against the elements although suggestions have been made to put a canopy or something similar over it. Gas chambers two and three were made in a mirror image of each other at the head of the rail line which was laid to bring people due to be murdered directly to the point of death. Previously they had been unloaded at a siding around 2.5km from here and brought to this point either on foot or in lorries. Prior to the construction of the gas chambers, people had been murdered in two houses located just outside the barbed wire fence called the red house and the white house. I have placed many films of the holocaust on this site including interviews with witnesses. Those interested should see also the films on Treblinka, Belzec, Sobibor, Chelmno nad Ner and Majdanek. These camps are much less known that Auschwitz although they account for nearly twice as many Jewish deaths. You can find these films by clicking on user's films (Od użytkownika) or by entering the name of these camps in the search engine. During the second world war some six million Jewish people were murdered by the Nazis by gassing, shooting, starvation, deliberate spreading of disease or by other means. Around half of these victims were killed, mainly at these six camps in Poland. Pierwsze transporty Polaków z więzień w Generalnym Gubernatorstwie, ze Śląska i Wielkopolski przybywały do obozu od 14 czerwca 1940. Na przełomie 1940-1941 do obozu w Auschwitz przeniesiono część więźniów polskich, m.in. z obozów w Sachsenhausen, Gross-Rosen, Dachau, Flossenbürg. Od marca 1941 rozbudowywano obóz, który ostatecznie obejmował: obóz macierzysty Auschwitz (Stammlager) w Oświęcimiu, obóz Birkenau w Brzezince, obóz Monowitz w Monowicach i ponad 40 podobozów, głównie na Śląsku. 3 września 1941 w obozie w Auschwitz dokonano pierwszej próby masowego uśmiercania ludzi za pomocą gazu cyklonu B. W 1942 hitlerowcy przekształcili obóz w ośrodek masowej eksterminacji. W Brzezince zbudowano 4 komory gazowe i 4 krematoria. On May 01, 2008, "SS Aufseherinnen" first made public; and manage to reach a peck of 2,013 views in three months. Prior to three-months ago on July 13, I discovered how to use privacy privileges before uploading a video and a couple days after decided to cancel "SS Aufseherinnen" not permanently but upload it once again and this time, dont approve people to rate my clip, witch I originally wanted. On July 13, "SS Aufseherinnen" was change to "Aufseherinnen in Auschwitz-Birkenau". On July 24, I deleted "Aufseherinnen in Auschwitz-Birkenau" and within the next 72 hours (Jul 28), I uploaded it again and gained 210 viewers on its return debut to Youtube. "Aufseherinnen in Auschwitz-Birkenau" continues improving its viewing counts. Located in German-occupied southern Poland, it took its name from the nearby town of Oświęcim (Auschwitz in German), situated about 50 kilometers west of Kraków and 286 kilometers from Warsaw. Following the German occupation of Poland in September 1939, Oświęcim was incorporated into Germany as part of the Katowice District (Regierungsbezirk Kattowitz), or unofficially East Upper Silesia (Ost-Oberschlesien), and renamed Auschwitz. The complex consisted of three main camps: Auschwitz I, the administrative center; Auschwitz II (Birkenau), an extermination camp or Vernichtungslager; and Auschwitz III (Monowitz), a work camp. The first two of them have been on the World Heritage List since 1979. There were also around 40 satellite camps, some of them tens of kilometers from the main camps, with prisoner populations ranging from several dozen to several thousand. The camp commandant, Rudolf Höß (in English commonly Hoess or Höss), testifed at the Nuremberg Trials that 3 million people had died at Auschwitz during his stay as a commandant. Later he decreased his estimate to about 1.1 million. The death toll given by the Soviets and accepted by many was 4,000,000 people. This number was written on the plaques in the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. The Museum revised this figure in 1990, and new calculations by Dr. Franciszek Piper now place the figure at 1.1 million[2] about 90 percent of them were Jews from almost every country in Europe.[3] Most deportees were killed in gas chambers using Zyklon B; other deaths were caused by systematic starvation, forced labor, lack of disease control, individual executions, and medical experiments.
