The Beatles - Revolution #9 so here it is add &fmt=18 for better sounf quality revolution #9 experimental recording of john and yoko, with a little help from their friends. please suscribe to beatlesfan4ever13, the beatles music and interesting stuff only here "Revolution 9" or sometimes "Revolution #9" is a song which appeared on The Beatles' 1968 self-titled LP release (also known as the White Album). The recording began as an extended ending to the album version of "Revolution", to which were added vocal and music sound clips, tape loops, and sound effects influenced by the musique concrète styles of Karlheinz Stockhausen, Edgard Varèse, Luigi Nono, and John Cage, further manipulated with editing and sound modification techniques (stereo panning and fading). At over eight minutes, it is the longest track on the album, as well as the longest Beatles track ever officially released. The work is credited to Lennon/McCartney (as were most Beatles songs written by either composer), though it was primarily the effort of John Lennon. George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Yoko Ono made small contributions, while Paul McCartney did not actively participate in the track's creation. Ono's avant-garde influence on Lennon's songwriting and composition is clear throughout "Revolution 9." Believing the track to be too uncommercial for even the Beatles to get away with, McCartney and producer George Martin fought hard to keep the track off the White Album, but Lennon and Ono won out, and the track was included as the second from last song at the end of the album's fourth side. Tags: Vilaweb Barcelona Catalunya Catalonia català catalan Pete Best The Beatles Liverpool |

I Met The Walrus In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan, armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, snuck into John Lennon's hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview about peace. 38 years later, Jerry has produced a film about it. Using the original interview recording as the soundtrack, director Josh Raskin has woven a visual narrative which tenderly romances Lennon's every word in a cascading flood of multipronged animation. Raskin marries the terrifyingly genius pen work of James Braithwaite with masterful digital illustration by Alex Kurina, resulting in a spell-binding vessel for Lennon's boundless wit, and timeless message. Martha, My Dear Beatles Vid #6 - Martha My Dear. PLEASE READ DISCLAIMER: This one was hard to do because the song ended before the story did (which explains the rough ending). Look for my video with bloopers, deleted scenes, and two alternate endings. I just completed this final an hour ago (9:45 EST -01.21.07). It's not the best, but I wanted to delve in to the "silent film" genre and the song seemed appropriate to make one with. * Please post suggestions for improvement. * More videos on the way - PLEASE SUBSCRIBE! * I know I messed up with the end-credit song. It's "She's Leaving Home." Thank you to Beatlemaniagirl for letting me know - I wish I caught it before I posted the final version! * This song was actually written about Paul's dog, Martha! * That's MY license plate on the van. * The guitar in the scenes with the Beatles poster is my Epiphone Beatle Bass. I love that thing! * Thanks to fellow youtubers midithebeatles and jazz2511. *** I would like to thank everyone who has commented on the video, even the people who continue to tell me that Martha isn't a person. I knew this before I made the video, but seriously, any song can carry any meaning to anybody. I decided to film Paul and his struggle between celebrity and his feelings for a girl. If I had a dog named Michelle and made a video of her with the Beatles song, would I get as much criticism because Michelle is directed to a human female? The Beatles - All My Loving The Beatles - All My Loving High Quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZlXJcpqvag&feature=email&fmt=18 Copyright - 1963 EMI Records Ltd. "All My Loving" is a song by The Beatles, written by Paul McCartney, but credited to Lennon/McCartney, from the 1963 album With the Beatles. It was the first of only a few occasions where McCartney wrote the lyrics before the music, as it was allegedly conceived as a poem while the Beatle was shaving. McCartney envisioned it originally as a country & western song--hence Harrison's Nashville influenced-guitar solo--and the music was written backstage on a piano during The Beatles' Roy Orbison tour. Another "letter" song, like "P.S. I Love You", "All My Loving" promptly drew much critical acclaim. It was the band's opening number on their famous US debut performance on The Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964. According to Alan Weiss, a TV producer who happened to be there, "All My Loving" was playing on the sound system at Roosevelt Hospital emergency room when John Lennon was pronounced dead after being shot by ************* on 8 December 1980. Recording The Beatles recorded the song on July 30, 1963 in 11 takes with 3 overdubs. The master take was take 14 overdubbed on take 11. It was remixed on August 21 and October 29. Other releases and covers It is also included on other Beatles albums: Anthology 1, Live at the BBC, and The Beatles 1962-1966. The song has been covered by Helloween, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Los Manolos (for the 1992 Summer Olympics), and Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, on their 1964 album South of the Border, among others. An acoustic cover of this song performed as a warm-up by The Bravery can be seen on the Journal section of their website. The song was also covered by Alvin and the Chipmunks. An instrumental version of this song appears in the movie Magical Mystery Tour. Internationally renowned guitarist Chet Atkins recorded a version of this song with vocals by Suzy Bogguss. A metallicized version of this song was recorded by Beatallica as "...And Justice For All My Loving". The song was featured in the Beatles-themed musical film Across the Universe, performed by Jim Sturgess. Emilie Autumn make a cover of this song for her album A Bit O' This & That Recorded July 30, 1963 Lyrics: Close your eyes and I'll kiss you Tomorrow I'll miss you Remember I'll always be true And then while I'm away I'll write home every day And I'll send all my loving to you I'll pretend that I'm kissing The lips I am missing And hope that my dreams will come true And then while I'm away I'll write home every day And I'll send all my loving to you All my loving, I will send to you All my loving, darling I'll be true Close your eyes and I'll kiss you Tomorrow I'll miss you Remember I'll always be true And then while I'm away I'll write home every day And I'll send all my loving to you All my loving, I will send to you All my loving, darling I'll be true All my loving, All my loving Woo, all my loving, I will send to you Tags: With The Beatles 1963 Paul McCartney |

The Beatles - She's Leaving Home The Beatles - She's Leaving Home High Quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkJciEf-ENA&feature=email&fmt=18 Copyright - 1967 EMI Records Ltd. "She's Leaving Home" is a song, written and sung by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and released in 1967 on The Beatles album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. McCartney wrote and sung the verse and Lennon the chorus. Background Paul McCartney: " John and I wrote 'She's Leaving Home' together. It was my inspiration. We'd seen a story in the newspaper about a young girl who'd left home and not been found, there were a lot of those at the time, and that was enough to give us a story line. So I started to get the lyrics: she slips out and leaves a note and then the parents wake up ... It was rather poignant. I like it as a song, and when I showed it to John, he added the long sustained notes, and one of the nice things about the structure of the song is that it stays on those chords endlessly. Before that period in our song-writing we would have changed chords but it stays on the C chord. It really holds you. It's a really nice little trick and I think it worked very well. While I was showing that to John, he was doing the Greek chorus, the parents' view: 'We gave her most of our lives, we gave her everything money could buy.' I think that may have been in the runaway story, it might have been a quote from the parents. Then there's the famous little line about a man from the motor trade; people have since said that was Terry Doran, who was a friend who worked in a car showroom, but it was just fiction, like the sea captain in "Yellow Submarine", they weren't real people. " The newspaper story McCartney mentioned was from the front page of the Daily Mirror, about a girl named Melanie Coe. Although McCartney made up most of the content, Coe, who was 17 at the time claims that he got most of it right. Her parents wondered why she had left... "She had everything she wanted". In real life, Melanie did not "meet a man from the motor trade", but instead a croupier, and left in the afternoon while her parents were at work. The adventure ended a week later. Coincidentally, Coe had met McCartney three years earlier when she was a contestant and prize winner on ITV's Ready Steady Go!. Recording The day before McCartney wanted to work on the string arrangement, he learned that George Martin was not available to do the score. He contacted Mike Leander, who did it in Martin's place. It was the first time a Beatle song was not arranged by Martin (and the only time it was done with The Beatles' consent - Phil Spector's orchestration of Let It Be was done without The Beatles' knowledge). Martin was hurt by McCartney's actions, but he produced the song and conducted the string section. The harp was played by Sheila Bromberg, the first female musician to appear on a Beatles record. Recorded Abbey Road Studios 17 March 1967 Lyrics: Wednesday morning at five o'clock as the day begins Silently closing her bedroom door Leaving the note that she hoped would say more She goes downstairs to the kitchen clutching her handkerchief Quietly turning the back door key Stepping outside she is free She (we gave her most of our lives) is leaving (sacrificed most of our lives) home (we gave her everything money could buy) She's leaving home after living alone for so many years (bye bye) Father snores as his wife gets into her dressing gown Picks up the letter that's lying there Standing alone at the top of the stairs She breaks down and cries to her husband Daddy our baby's gone Why would she treat us so thoughtlessly How could she do this to me She (We never thought of ourselves) is leaving (never a thought for ourselves) home (we struggled hard all our lives to get by) She's leaving home after living alone for so many years (bye bye) Friday morning at nine o'clock she is far away Waiting to keep the appointment she made Meeting a man from the motor trade She (what did we do that was wrong) is having (we didn't know it was wrong) fun (fun is the one thing that money can't buy) Something inside that was always denied for so many years (bye bye) She's leaving home (bye bye) Tags: The Beatles 1967 John Lennon Paul McCartney Sgt. The Beatles - Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) The Beatles - Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) Copyright - 1965 EMI Records Ltd. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" is a song by The Beatles which first appeared on the 1965 album Rubber Soul. While credited to Lennon/McCartney, it was primarily written by John Lennon, though Paul McCartney contributed to the middle eight section. It is notable as one of the first Western pop songs with an Indian musical instrument — John Lennon's guitar is accompanied by George Harrison on the sitar. The song is a lilting acoustic ballad featuring Lennon's lead vocal and signature Beatle harmonies in the middle eight. "Norwegian Wood" was one of several songs on Rubber Soul in which the singer faces an antagonistic relationship with a woman. In direct contrast to earlier Beatles songs such as "She Loves You" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand", the songs on Rubber Soul were considerably darker in their outlook towards romantic relationships. The exotic instrumentation and oblique lyric represented one of the first indications to fans of the expanding musical vocabulary and experimental approach that the group was rapidly adopting. The lyrics of the song sketch an encounter between the singer and an unnamed girl (or "bird" in British slang). They drink wine in her room and talk into the night. The consummation of their flirtation at first seems promising when the unnamed girl states "it's time for bed", however, the singer then crawls off to "sleep in the bath" presumably alone. "Norwegian Wood" evidently refers to the cheap pinewood that often finished the interiors of working class British flats. The last verse states that the singer lights a fire, the implication being that the singer in fact sets fire to the girl's flat, presumably as revenge for not sleeping with the singer. McCartney himself states the final line of the song indicates that the singer burned the home of the girl. As he explained: Peter Asher [brother of McCartney's then-girlfriend Jane Asher] had just done his room out in wood, and a lot of people were decorating their places in wood. Norwegian wood. It was pine, really, just cheap pine. But it's not as good a title, is it, "Cheap Pine"? It was a little parody, really, on those kind of girls who, when you'd get back to their flat, there would be a lot of Norwegian wood. It was completely imaginary from my point of view, but not from John's. It was based on an affair he had. She made him sleep in the bath and then, finally, in the last verse, I had this idea to set the Norwegian wood on fire as a revenge. She led him on and said, "You'd better sleep in the bath." And in our world, that meant the guy having some sort of revenge, so it meant burning the place down.. Lennon acknowledged being strongly influenced by Bob Dylan during this time period, and the rather opaque lyrics of "Norwegian Wood" seem to reflect this. Dylan responded with "4th Time Around", a song boasting a similar melody, subject matter and lyrical delivery. Rock journalists and even Lennon himself felt it to be a rather pointed parody of "Wood" (some even went as far as to think the song's closing line - "And I, I never took much/I never asked for your crutch/Now don't ask for mine" - was directed toward Lennon), though Lennon later told his biographer that he considered Dylan's effort to be more a playful homage. I once had a girl Or should I say she once had me She showed me her room Isn't it good Norwegian wood? She asked me to stay And she told me to sit anywhere So I looked around And I noticed there wasn't a chair I sat on a rug biding my time drinking her wine We talked until two and then she said "it's time for bed" She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath And when I awoke I was alone This bird had flown So I lit a fire Isn't it good Norwegian wood?
