The_Mop(aka Zeke) plays Big Blue Here's me playing the backing music from the F-Zero X track Big Blue. I made the backing track myself, so I apologise for the rubbish-sounding programmed drums. I also apologise for the video quality - messing around with multiple compressors took it's toll. I recorded this directly into my interface while recording the vid, that's why you can't hear me moving the mouse around or anything. This is just to clarify so you don't think I'm miming. Finally, Enjoy :) EDIT: Although I take it as an extremely nice compliment that people want to learn my transposed version of Big Blue - I DO NOT HAVE THE TABS. I transposed it on the spot. I can remember it but I have no way of writing it down properly. I should be getting hold of guitar pro soon, and then I can write it down properly. Until then, tabs cannot be done. Thanks. Big Blue Marble - intro Big Blue Marble was a children's television program that aired from 1974-1983. Each episode contained 2 or 3 different segments, each one focusing on a child from a different country (what their life was like, interests, etc...). The apparent goal of the program was to promote cultural awareness/understanding. I believe themes like ecology were also discussed. The show encouraged viewers to become "pen pals" with other viewers from different parts of the world, and facilitated this with a segment during each show. As far as I know, the show hasn't been shown (at least in the US) since it originally aired. I've heard that some of the children that became pen pals kept in touch for years (even to present day). This version of the show's intro was from a later season and is a different song than was originally used*. I don't know when the change was made but both seem to be remembered fondly depending on when you watched. You can hear the melody of the original song sung faintly at the start of this clip. Cultural understanding: that's the 70's for ya. Should kids today be exposed to stuff like that? *here's a link to LP version of original theme: http://katyana.tripod.com/marble.wav Tags: big blue marble pbs 70's 70s 1970's 1970s 80's 80s 1980s 1980's tv show |

Big Blue Note http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q79vfZjXtAE&fmt=18 Buck sings Big Blue Note by Toby Keith. Toby Keith spent the '90s as a solid, workmanlike country star who met with considerable chart success, yet never quite broke free of the neo-traditionalist pack to become a household name like Garth Brooks or Alan Jackson. That all changed in 2002 when he recorded "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)," a response to September 11 that became one of country's most highly charged political statements since Merle Haggard's "Okie from Muskogee." The media furor ensured that even people with no knowledge of country music still knew him as "the guy with the 'boot in the ass' song," and helped make Keith a genuine phenomenon. Yet he'd been recording for nearly a decade prior and already had several chart-topping country singles to his credit. Keith was born Toby Keith Covel in Clinton, OK, in 1961 and grew up mostly on a farm in Moore, near the outskirts of Oklahoma City. He took up guitar at age eight, inspired by the country musicians who played at the supper club his grandmother ran. He listened to his father's Bob Wills records and fell in love with Haggard's music. He worked as a rodeo hand while in high school, and after graduation, he found work in the nearby oil fields. In the meantime, he formed the Easy Money Band and played Alabama-style country-rock in area honky tonks. After about three years, the oil industry hit a major downturn, and Keith turned to playing semipro football for a USFL farm team, even trying out (unsuccessfully) for the short-lived league's Oklahoma City franchise. Following two years as a football player, Keith decided to focus on music and adopted a much more rigorous touring schedule. He cut a few records for local indie labels, and his demo tape eventually found its way to onetime Alabama producer Harold Shedd, who helped Keith land a deal with Mercury. Keith's self-titled debut album was released in 1993 and made him an out-of-the-box success with its chart-topping single "Should've Been a Cowboy." Three more songs from the record -- "Wish I Didn't Know Now," "A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action," and "He Ain't Worth Missing" -- made the Top Five, and the album sold over two million copies. "Who's That Man," the lead single from his second album, Boomtown, was released in late 1994 and became his second number one; Boomtown hit stores in early 1995 and went gold on the strength of further Top Ten hits "Upstairs Downtown" and "You Ain't Much Fun." Keith followed it later that year with the holiday record Christmas to Christmas and returned with the proper album Blue Moon in 1996. Its first two singles, "A Woman's Touch" and "Does That Blue Moon Ever Shine on You," went Top Ten, and the third, "Me Too," gave Keith his third number one, also helping the album go platinum. Released in 1997, Dream Walkin' marked his first collaboration with prolific producer James Stroud, with whom he would work regularly from then on. "We Were in Love" and the title track were both Top Five hits, as was "I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying," a duet with Sting. However, Keith longed for an even bigger breakthrough, and he was growing dissatisfied with Mercury's promotional efforts. In 1999, he left the label and followed Stroud over to the Nashville division of DreamWorks. Keith's label debut, How Do You Like Me Now?!, appeared in late 1999 and started to bring him the wider recognition he felt poised for. The title cut went to number one on the country charts and brought him his first Top 40 pop hit; its follow-up, "Country Comes to Town," went Top Five, and "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This" also hit number one. Overall, the album had a rough, brash attitude that helped give Keith a stronger identity as a performer. It was also the first to bring him those long-desired major industry awards, when in 2001 the Academy of Country Music named him Male Vocalist of the Year and named How Do You Like Me Now?! its Album of the Year. In the meantime, Keith became more visible in the mainstream media, making cameos on Touched by an Angel and in a Dukes of Hazzard TV reunion movie as well as co-starring in a series of telephone commercials. Later in 2001, his follow-up album, Pull My Chain, became his first to top the country charts and also his first Top Ten pop album. It spun off three number one singles: "I'm Just Talkin' About Tonight," "I Wanna Talk About Me," and "My List." Tags: Buck Norris Classic Country Toby Keith |

Adrian Belew - Big Blue Sun - Inner Revolution Adrian Belew (born Robert Steven Belew, December 23, 1949, in Covington, Kentucky) is an American guitarist and vocalist (and sometimes drummer, pianist and bass player), perhaps best known for his work as a member of the progressive rock group King Crimson, which he first joined in 1981. He has also released a number of solo albums for Island Records and Atlantic Records, and has worked with many other musicians. He was nominated for a Grammy in 2005 for his single Beat Box Guitar, in the category Best Rock Instrumental Performance. In addition, Belew is well-regarded for his contributions, particularly on guitar, to various other artists' recordings. In 1977, he performed with Frank Zappa, appearing in Zappa's 1979 concert film Baby Snakes, as well as Zappa's controversial album Sheik Yerbouti, where Belew provides the memorable and scathing impersonation of Bob Dylan on the song Flakes. Belew played guitar in David Bowie's band on the 'Stage' world tour in 1978, and the following year contributed lead guitar parts on his Lodger album. In 1990 he acted as musical director on Bowie's 'Sound + Vision' tour as well as providing guitar/backing vocals. Belew's other session credits include the 1980 album Remain in Light by the Talking Heads, Lights Out by Peter Wolf, Earth Moving by Mike Oldfield and Paul Simon's landmark 1986 album Graceland. He worked with Laurie Anderson during the mid-1980s, appearing in her concert film Home of the Brave. He also worked with the Tom Tom Club on their first album in 1981. He contributed to a Ryuichi Sakamoto album called Lefthanded Dream in 1981, together with Robin Scott of the pop group "M". During the 1990s, he contributed to two Nine Inch Nails albums, The Downward Spiral and The Fragile. He played synthesized guitar on the song God Shuffled His Feet by Crash Test Dummies in 1993. In 1995 he produced two tracks on Jars of Clay's debut album, including the crossover Christian hit "Flood". In the late 80s, Belew formed the pop band The Bears with ex-members of The Raisins (a Cincinnati-based band that had some local success in the early 1980s), and released two albums, The Bears and Rise and Shine. A third album, Car Caught Fire, followed in 2001. The Bears released their fourth studio album, Eureka, early in 2007. He is featured prominently on Tori Amos's 2001 album of cover versions, Strange Little Girls. He also contributed his lead guitar stylings to Porcupine Tree's album, Deadwing (2005) as well as to a track I Can't Get Behind That, (also featuring Henry Rollins) on the 2004 Ben Folds-produced William Shatner album Has Been. He is featured as "primary guitarist" on the album Habitat by progressive rock band Man on Fire. He even appeared in a series of Japanese advertisements promoting the mechanic company Daikin in which he emulated animal noises with his electric guitar and appeared as the conductor, conducting a symphony in which all the members were himself playing guitar. Belew's vocals are known for their distinct, sometimes manic feel - his singing voice is often compared to that of Talking Heads singer David Byrne. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he played on one Talking Heads album and toured with them in 1980 before being invited to join King Crimson. While with King Crimson Robert Fripp considered replacing him with David Sylvian in the early 1990s, but Sylvian declined the offer Current - 2006/2007 In April/May 2006, Adrian toured Australia with local musicians Al Slavik (bass guitar, stick and vocals) and John Prior from Matt Finish (drums). Adrian is currently touring the U.S. with his latest band, The Adrian Belew Trio, which is rounded out by former Paul Green School of Rock students Eric Slick (20) on drums and Julie Slick (21) on bass. In August of 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia he performed on The Acoustic Planet Tour with Bela Fleck & The Flecktones and Umphrey's McGee, and the trio are currently recording Side Four, a live album compiled from their recent and upcoming tours. King Crimson also has tentative plans to rehearse in September 2007 for a possible new record and/or tour.[citation needed] [edit] Discography Lone Rhino (1982) Twang Bar King (1983) Desire Caught By the Tail (1986) Mr. Music Head (1989) Young Lions (1990) Desire of the Rhino King (1991) Inner Revolution (1992) Here (1994) The Guitar as Orchestra: Experimental Guitar Series, Vol. 1 (1995) Acoustic Adrian Belew (1995) Op Zop Too Wah (1997) Belew Prints: The Acoustic Adrian Belew, Vol. 2 (1998) Salad Days (1998) Coming Attractions (2000) Raven Songs 101 (2004, with Kevin Max) Side One (2005) Side Two (2005) Side Three (2006) nonsense tags here, do not bother reading, it's just an experimental tag and i have time to burn johnny depp close encounters of the third kind fear and loathing in las vegas video hippy bongwater (name of the band at end) hippies steven greer aaron russo and lovely freaks Tags: adrian belew big blue sun inner revolution frank zappa talking heads bowie david king crimson nuclear bongwater brasseye |

Big Blue - Le Grand Bleu (1988) Trailer Trailer to the movie Le Grand bleu by Luc Besson. Enzo and Jacques have known each other for a long time. Their friendship started in their childhood days in the mediterranean. They were not real friends in these days, but there was something they both loved and used to do the whole day long: diving. One day Jacques' father, who was a diver too, died in the mediterranean sea. After that incident Enzo and Jacques lost contact. After several years, Enzo and Jacques had grown up, Johanna, a young clerk in a security office, has to go to Peru. There she meets Jacques who works for a group of scientist. He dives for some minutes into ice cold water and the scientist monitor his physical state that is more like a dolphin's than a human's. Johanna can not believe what she sees and gets very interested in Jacques but she's unable to get acquainted with him. Some weeks later, back in her office, she notices a championship for divers that is supposed to take place in Taormina, Italy. In order to see Jacques again she makes up a story so the firm sends her to Italy for business purposes. In Taormina there is also Enzo, the reigning diving world champion. He knows that only Jacques can challenge and probably beat him. This time Johanna and Jacques get closer, but Jacques, being more a dolphin than a man, can not really commit and his rivalry with Enzo pushes both man into dangerous territory...
