Windows Vista Bootup Time Click the 'More' link below for full details...... - Vista Bootup time from PC start to desktop: 40s - Time from dual boot menu to desktop: 24s When Desktop is reached, it is fully responsive as demonstrated. Running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 with all updates (on a Vista/XP dual boot) and Windows has full functionality, including using Aero theme and sidebar gadgets - it is not crippled or artificially stripped back. This is my standard setup for everyday PC usage, gaming, etc. and does not require any further modification to run any programs (e.g. I don't have to enable any additional services or startup programs just to get things to work). The system has been completely optimized using the TweakGuides Tweaking Companion: http://www.tweakguides.com/TGTC.html The PC is an X2 4400+, 2GB RAM, 8800GTS 640MB with Raptor hard drives. The StartupDelay Controls the time delay after a system startup before Indexing Service. This tweak does not disable anything, it just removes the unnecessary wait time. Notes from video: Navigate and expand in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex Change the Decimal value of the Startupdelay key to 40000 and restart the PC. Recorded from an actual P.O.W. / Prisoners of War arcade pcb (printed circuit board), which is hooked up to a supergun (allows arcade pcb's to be connected to various output devices). This classic beatemup game is also available on the NES home console. P.O.W. / Prisoners of War is known as Datsugoku in Japan, and one of SNK's many classic army style action games (which includes Ikari Warriors and Mechanized Army). P.O.W. / Prisoners of War involves an attempt by its two heroes to escape from a prison camp and overthrow an evil organization.
