Glaciar Spegazzini, El Calafate, Argentina El Glaciar Spegazzini debe su nombre al botánico Carlos Spegazzini que realizó los primeros estudios de flora en la región. Este glaciar tiene una superficie de 66 km2 y una longitud de 25 km, siendo su ancho de 1,5 km. Tiene una característica muy especial y es la altura de su frente, que es de 80 a 135 m en su parte más alta, lo que lo convierte en el glaciar de mayor altura en el parque nacional. En la margen izquierda de este glaciar encontramos muy poca vegetación debido a un incendio ocurrido hace más de 60 años. GLACIAR SECO: tiene una superficie de 4 km2 y se encuentra en estado de retroceso, también se lo conoce con el nombre de totalizador porque allí el Instituto del Hielo Continental Patagónico instaló un pluvionivometro totalizador para medir la caída anual de lluvia y nieve, que promedia alrededor de 1500 a 1800 mililitros. Puerto las Vacas: pintoresco paraje, donde se encuentra un puesto que fuera utilizado como refugio en expediciones al hielo continental por el Coronel E. Huerta y el Ing. M.
