Coronet Blue - Frank Converse http://spockvideo.com 13 episodes of Coronet Blue were filmed in 1965. CBS supposedly thought the show would be above the heads of viewers and put it on the shelf for two years. Then, in 1967, they aired 11 episodes it and it quickly became a hit. But by then, the star, Frank Converse, had moved on to the police drama N.Y.P.D. The premise of the show was that Michael Alden (Converse) found himself shot and with amnesia and could only remember the words Coronet Blue. The show was created by the great Larry Cohen, who also created The Invaders, Branded and a huge number of other classic shows. I have all 11 episodes plus the two unaired episodes. A script was supposedly written for a 14th show but never filmed. The show was ultra-modern for the time and was filmed in and around New York City. 1954 Webcor Holiday Coronet Restored and Custom Painted! This is my 1954 webcor holiday coronet. I received the item in great working condition, and a search for 1954 webcor on youtube should provide you with plenty of videos of this player in action before the restoration. but the cabinet condition bothered me, so it underwent an extensive cosmetic restoration. I havent put the brass latches on yet, as they arent here yet, but I couldnt resist making a vid to show it off! Also, the webcor logo will be painted on the inner lid when done, but you'll have to catch future videos to see that! After removing the factory leatherette covering, i knew I was in trouble. But using the same refinishing techniques I would use on a street car or any custom job, I eventually was able to surface this thing smooth as glass for paint application. I wasnt able to water sand and buff it though, in fear the wood below would swell from heat and ruin the smooth finish. I used a custom mixed brown pearl that I made 9 years ago and have just been waiting for a use for, and a nice cream color which I picked out of a chip book. Its clearcoats in PPG Vibrance VC5200 clearcoat. I then striped the two tone using House of Kolors Rich Gold lettering enamel. The inside of the cabinet is refinished in a beautiful satin black, but I dont give away what I use for that. Its one of my favorite colors to use on just about everything! Anyway, It came out stunning and I hope you enjoy hearing Buffalo Springfield perfmorming 'For What its Worth', followed by my favorite Buffalo Springfield song 'Mr. Soul' , sung by the great Neil Young.
