Bill Champlin (Chicago)- Turn Your Love Around 1994 "Turn Your Love Around" was written by Bill Champlin (of Chicago), Jay Graydon & Steve Lukather (of Toto). This 1982 George Benson hit dominated the charts and the Grammys. In 1994, Bill Champlin released his solo album 'Through it All'. This album contained his own amazing rendition of the song he co-wrote and helped make famous. This clip was recorded "live" in Germany on his December 1994 solo tour. Enjoy! Bill Champlin & Friends- After The Love Has Gone (1983) This was recorded in L.A. in 1983. This is the only known live performance of this song that features all three songwriters. Bill Champlin (Chicago), David Foster (He's written and produced more hits than anyone) & Jay Graydon (A guitar whiz who appears on many hit records). This All-Star cast also features Tommy Funderburk (A top-notch studio vocal genius), Tamara Champlin (Bill's wife and a very talented vocalist) and Alan Thicke. Alan is most famous for his role on the TV sitcom 'Growing Pains'. It's worth noting that his son, Robin Thicke, is burning up the charts these days. Quite a group of talent on display here. The original version was recorded by Earth, Wind & Fire in 1979 and won several Grammy's. Enjoy! The songs in order are: I Don't Wanna Live Without Your Love Look Away You're Not Alone note: all three songs came from the 1988 release 'Chicago 19' and all 3 songs were big hits on the Billboard chart. IDWLWYL #3, Look Away #1 (1989 song of the year) & YNA #10. They also made music videos for all three songs and they can easily be found on YouTube. Our second concert of the summer season was a doozy. What can you say about a ticket with the Doobie Brothers and Chicago, but awesome. The energy from both bands was second only to the incredible caliber of musicianship at play here. The vast amount of hit songs made this show a must see. However, the incredible showmanship, performance effort, and stage presence; displayed by each and every performer, made this event worth so much more than the price of admission. Individually, both bands were incredible. When they came together to jam for the finale, it was unbelievably powerful and more than entertaining. We highly recommend that you seek out one of these shows. We had to travel 5 hours by train to see this one. Traveling is such a hassle that we don't do it for just any old concert. It was so worth all of the time, expense, and effort involved. Do yourself a favor go see the Doobie Brother and Chicago together. Bill Champlin- No Wasted Moments This song was recorded "live" in Tokyo, Japan on June 1, 1990. Bill was taking part in the 19th annual Japan Music Awards. "No Wasted Moments" is from Bill's solo EP of the same name. That EP was released in Japan only and is quite collectible. This song was written by BC and Joey Carbone. This is probably the only time Bill ever performed this song in concert. He's clearly reading his lyrics and rushing a few of them. But, it's still great to see him perform any of his solo material.
