How to setup a Xbox 360 controller to a pc(part 1) PLEASE READ BEFORE VIEWING!!!!! A brief note, i have been hearing people say "it does not work on vista" and i heard a lot other people say "it does". Well, since i noticed this thing becoming more of an issue, i'm going to try out the software on vista and see if certain people are missing something or if you need additional installments, i'll get back to you all on that. Another thing, wireless controllers with a play and charge kit will NOT work as well, it's just WIRED controllers only. And another thing, i noticed the techgage website was no longer giving the installer so i took the link off, i tried it without the installer and it worked because i installed it as a hardware on the pc and jus used xpadder, let me know if there are any more problems. If you have any special controllers like a gamestop 360 controller, i put a link to the controller images u jus click them and download. I havent tried any other controllers beside the 360 original and the elite so i cant tell you how they work This is a tutorial on how to connect your Xbox 360 WIRED controller to your pc to use as a mouse or to play games, etc. You will need the following programs- Xpadder http://xpadder.com/download.html Xbox 360 Controller picture(please do not just get any picture from any other website, you need this specific picture!!!) http://xpadder.com/controllers.html all controller pics http://xpadder.com/controllers.html?category=Xbox360 Fun games at Newgrounds.com Tags: Xbox 360 wired controller pc setup |

CGRHD reviews SEGA GENESIS HIGH FREQUENCY controller Classic Game Room HD reviews the 3rd party aftermarket controller calld the HIGH FREQUENCY for the Sega Genesis video game system. This is a six button controller for use with the Mega Drive (aka Megadrive) and fighting games like Street Fighter 2. It has turbo, rapid fire, auto and slow motion features just like the awesome NES Advantage does. Replace your existing controllers at your own risk though, although not a bad MD controller this one lacks the build quality of official Sega merchandise like the 6-button controller that we reviewed previously. The d-pad works ok, the X Y and Z buttons are there and fit and finish is now awful. If you happen to break all of your existing Sega controllers, joysticks or gamepads then check this one out. Play games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Revenge of Shinobi and Vectorman with ease and super HIGH FREQUENCIES. swissair crash recording part 1 Air traffic control tapes of Swissair Flight 111 have finally been released after a legal battle that went all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada. The ATC tapes, released by the Canadian Press, have not been made public since the 1998 crash that killed 229 people. The tapes contain hours of recording including the final dramatic 12 minutes of the flight before the aircraft plunged at high speed into St. Margaret's Bay, N.S., near Halifax. "Swissair one eleven is declaring pan pan pan we have smoke in the cockpit," one pilot said. "Pan pan pan" means there is an emergency on board the aircraft, but that there is no immediate danger. Later, another said, "We are declaring emergency now" (this can be heard on part four of the audio link to the right). They were told they could commence the fuel dump, discussed altitude and the approach to Halifax airport with air traffic controllers. They were asked to advise when it was complete. There was one last garbled "hello," then presumably electrical failure cut off communications. About six minutes after the last transmission, everyone was dead. The MD-11 aircraft left New York for Geneva on Sept. 2, 1998. The aircraft smashed into the dark water off Peggy's Cove at 10:31 p.m. Atlantic Time at an estimated 550 kilometres an hour, killing everyone onboard and shattering the plane into literally millions of tiny fragments. The impact of the jet hitting the water made seismographic needles in Moncton and Halifax flutter as if an earthquake had struck. Vic Gerden, chief investigator into the crash, said families of the victims have not yet heard the audio although they were briefed extensively at the time of the disaster. "I don't recall them having the opportunity to listen to the tapes,'' Gerden, who retired last year, told the Canadian Press from Winnipeg. Some family member predicted the tapes would be hard to hear, even after so many years. "These things bring an event back to people, the family members, who've put a lot of time and distance between the crash ... and their losses,'' Miles Gerety, who lost his brother Pierce in the crash, told the Canadian Press from his home in Redding, Conn. "I think it would be hard to hear.'' After the crash, the Transportation Safety Board refused to release the ATC audio, saying it contained personal information. John Reid, then Canada's information commissioner, initially supported the refusal. "In my view, the voices, along with the tonal and emotive characteristics, constitute personal information of three air traffic controllers and the two pilots,'' he ruled in 1999. Reid eventually reversed on his decision after he received complaints about the board's refusal to release audio from four other air disasters. He fought the board and Nav Canada all the way to the Supreme Court, which eventually ruled the transmissions should be released to the public. The ruling brings Canada in line with countries that have allowed ATC recordings to be available for years. *If anyone wants teh transcripts you should get in touch with me directly. Phoenix Helicopter Crash - The ACTUAL Crash By JACQUES BILLEAUD, Associated Press Writer PHOENIX - Federal investigators hope to determine why two news helicopters covering a police chase on live television collided and crashed to the ground, killing all four people on board. Both helicopters from local TV stations went down in a grassy park in central Phoenix and caught fire Friday afternoon. No one on the ground was hurt. TV viewers did not witness the accident because cameras aboard both aircraft were pointed at the ground, but they saw video from one of the helicopters break up and begin to spin before the station abruptly switched to the studio. Killed on board the KTVK helicopter were pilot Scott Bowerbank and photographer Jim Cox, the station reported. On board the KNXV aircraft were reporter-pilot Craig Smith and photographer Rick Krolak, that station said. A Federal Aviation Administration investigator was at the crash scene by late Friday and National Transportation Safety Board investigators were expected to arrive Saturday. The helicopters were covering the police pursuit of a work truck. Just before the collision, the driver had jumped out of the nearly disabled flatbed pickup and carjacked another truck. The man was later taken into custody by a SWAT team after barricading himself inside a house. Just before the picture broke up, Smith said, "Oh geez!" Police identified the suspect as Christopher J. Jones, 23, and said he was booked into jail late Friday night on two counts of vehicle theft, four counts of aggravated assault on a police officer and one count of resisting arrest with other charges expected to be filed later. Earlier on Friday, Phoenix Police Chief Jack Harris suggested the suspect could "be held responsible for any of the deaths from this tragedy." The two helicopters came down on the lawn in front of a boarded-up church at the park. Firefighters swarmed to the area as thick black smoke rose from the scene. Rick Gotchie, an air conditioning contractor, was working nearby when he noticed the helicopters overhead. He said they began circling closer as he continued watching, and one appeared to get too close to the other. "I kept saying 'Go lower, go lower,' but he didn't," Gotchie said. "It was like a vacuum. They just got sucked into each other, and they both exploded and pieces were flying everywhere." He said he ran to the crash site, but "no one got out." FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said the pilots of the five news helicopters and one police chopper over the chase were not talking to air traffic controllers at the time, which is normal. "Typically air traffic controllers clear helicopters into an area where they can cover a chase like this," Gregor said. "Once they are in the area, the pilots themselves are responsible for keeping themselves separated from other aircraft." Pilots generally use a dedicated radio frequency to talk to each other and maintain their positions, Gregor said. "There is a high degree of coordination," Gregor said. "To fly for a TV station you have to have a commercial rating, which means more (flight hours), more training." Gregor said the FAA has not had major safety problems with news chopper operations. Keith McCutchen, a past president of the National Broadcast Pilots Association and a news pilot for 11 years in Indianapolis, said pilot awareness is vital while on the scene of a story because of the many distractions that could spell trouble. "You are watching the scene. You have to bring your attention inside to look at the monitors to see what the audience is seeing so you can converse. But you're also having to direct your attention to the other aircraft flying around you. You have to have your head on a swivel in those kinds of situations." Associated Press writers Chris Kahn, Pauline Arrillaga and Terry Tang contributed to this report. Tags: helicopter chopper crash phoenix collision high-speed chase Arizona TV news |

Philadelphia Air Traffic Control 30 minutes of footage from Philadelphia TRACON sped up in 3 minutes. Compiled in that 30 minutes is a runway switch from 27R to 9R including holds which can be seen at the bottom of the video. Due to the decision to do it during the heaviest arrival push. Holding was nessecary both in the north and south until all 27L departures were finally released and only a few aircraft were left on the 27R final before aircraft could start being released from the holds and recieve vectors for runway 9R. Just a note for the people who don't know anything about Air Traffic Control, first off.. No controllers they are not the people on the ground waving glow sticks. Second.. No, pilots just dont control themselves into or out of an airport. Next time you fly, don't forget the hundreds to thousands of people coordinating for your flights safe journey. No matter really where you are in the US, your flight will always be talking to someone. They do it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The system is never closed... BTW, each one of those green targets contains on average 120 people. Food for thought... Tags: ATC TRACON Air Traffic Control FAA NATCA Aviation |

Gears 2 pt 1 http://www.pregamelobby.com/ Digg it! http://digg.com/xbox/PAX_2008_Video_Gears_of_war_2_Halo_Left_4_Dead video from pax 2008 First of all let me say sorry I can't hold a camera straight. And sorry I took it with an old ass camera. Please remember this is a beta build. This crappy video does not do the game justice. It looked great in person especially for a beta. Some of the things I noticed while playing/watching. Yes the chainsaw glitch still works. I did it to a guy from behind and just saw the first part of the animation and just walked away. Hopefully they fix it in the finally build. I didn't try to weapon slide because I was on a lan and figured it wouldn't work. The running felt a little bit slower than the original. One thing I really like is you can change the sensitivity of your zoomed in scope versus your regular aiming. One of the guys I played with said that he couldn't run and just pull the trigger so your guy would pop up and shoot but I didn't get a chance to try so he could be wrong. He also said you couldn't reload which I did try and you can reload in a run or jump. So like I said he could be wrong. The ghost cam that they had let you move around but it felt like you could only be at head level. When I tried to move up for a more aerial view I couldn't figure it out. So I'm guessing there is no what to get that shot. I also saw a turret picked up. Not a flamethrower a turret! It made you walk pretty slow kida like how it is in Halo. It also to a little time to start shooting sort of like how it is in Team Fortress 2. To the xbox crew that was there you guys were great. Although whom ever had the idea to use kiosks with the controllers pushing you way off to the left BAD IDEA! That made playing such a pain in the ass. You guys should have set it up like Left 4 Dead or Bungies was set up. Please if you guys do this again and let the public play just use a 360 and a wired controller those kiosks suck. Also the guys that were working were very nice but when I asked the specific questions about the game like is the chainsaw glitch and weapon slide fixed they asked me what that was. When I explained they said o yeah they are fixed. Which like I said before the chainsaw glitch still works. Even with those complaints the smelly people at PAX I was still so happy to just play the game. A big thanks to Epic and MS for having the demo there. You guys made PAX great! Tags: gears of war |
