Mushroom Kingdom Fusion: World 3-2 (Castle Cutman) MKFusion Forums: http://mkfusion.ipbfree.com/ After almost 4 months since the first and only Megaman level in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, a second Megaman level has finally been made into reality. The first Megaman level is Bubbleman's level from Megaman 2. This new level is based on Cutman's level from the first Megaman game. The biggest hurdle for getting this level done was programming the enemies. Every single enemy in this level had to be programmed from scratch. That alone took weeks to accomplish. That is not including the Robot Master Cutman either. This level includes one bonus enemy. See if you can figure out where it came from... This level is the first-ever contribution by development team member StarsimsUniverse. This actually came before Subcon Panic, but it had been put into development hell for almost two months. Cutman himself is a shaded version of the 8-bit NES Cutman, customized by StarsimsUniverse. I will agree with Starsims and say that the Wily Wars Cutman lacks the charm of the original 8-bit Cutman sprites. This level is actually relatively easy. There are many projectile powerups in the level to keep the difficulty down. Even Cutman is not that hard, seeing as you can stomp him when he throws his Cut Blade. Mega Man: Guts Man and Cut Man This is a simple run from Mega Man on the NES. I did Guts Man's stage, followed by Cut Man's stage. This is me playing the game, I used turbo only a couple of times. This isn't my best run. I could have done things better, but I've already recorded it three times, and I was tired. Okay, a couple of methods: Guts Man -At the beginning of the stage, jump and open fire upon the first Mettaur. Because it just absorbs your bullets, you won't have to wait to fire again (damn 3-shot limit!). After that, wait for the next one to reveal itself, shoot, jump over its shot, and then blast the next one (it will almost always open after you jump up). -If you've done the first part fast enough, then the platforms will be in easier positions to jump upon. -These...Mettaur/Sniper Joe hybrids are easy to defeat. I messed up alot here, but maybe I'll post another video to cover for this one. Anyway, when it throws its first axe, run forward under it, and shoot alot at it. Then, when it throws its second, jump over the first one if you have to, and then repeat. For the one seperated by the gap, use the second step first and go from there. -These large guard robots at the end of half the stages are pretty tough. Sometimes they jump high and short, or else they jump low and far. After it lands, you want to jump up in front of it to make it jump high, and then run under. -Guts Man is pretty easy with only the Mega Buster--it's just as easy using Hyper Bomb (Guts Man's weakness weapon--obtained from Bomb Man). You don't have to worry about jumping to avoid being paralyzed by the earthquakes, just stay on the boulders and shot right after recovering, or jump out of the way of a boulder he throws. Cut Man -Before you jump up to clear the gap, shoot. It will hit the first Flying Bullet. Shoot again when you land to hit the third one, and then jump over the second one. Keep moving, and it will disappear off-screen. Do pretty much the same thing on the next part, but shoot again after you land on the second platform. -These turrets are moderate in difficulty. Shoot them if you need space to breathe. -This building that launches scissors at you is easy: just dodge it and move on. -Okay, these drones are annoying. They do moderate damage, and they are pretty hard to dodge at some points. However, when you come to the room at about 04:22 on the video, you can jump over the one directly above you onto the platform above. After the drone moving up-and-down goes down, jump, but don't move until you're about to clear the drone. It takes some pretty sharp timing, and is a challenge to pull off, which is why I messed up. -After the second scissor-building of doom, shoot twice at a moderate interval before falling off the ledge. This will take care of the first and third flying bullets. If you feel the need to, then you can blast the second one through the wall, right after you start falling. -Cut Man is a total push-over. It may be hard to beat him using the Mega Buster alone. Sometimes he will taunt you before throwing the shears on his head. When you blast him (I don't know if it works with Ice Slasher, that weapon is virtually useless at offense), he'll get knocked back pretty far, and usually throws his shears at you right after, so once you can get into a pattern, it's easy to beat him. However, the best strategy to use when facing him is to use your Mega Buster to gain some elbow-room, and using the Super Arm (Cut Man's weakness weapon--obtained from Guts Man) to throw the blocks in the left corner at him for massive damage. BE CAREFUL: If you die and try to face him again, the blocks you threw will not come back, so be careful when you throw them. Tags: Mega Man GutsMan CutMan video game |
