Authorities say the Ferguson had just ridden the coaster, and had jumped two fences afterward to get a hat he'd lost. The accident was on the minds of people heading to the park on Sunday. Kevin Bowland : he must have known he was getting into some place he wasn't supposed to go into. It's a tragedy that he was able to get in there. Authorities say the Ferguson was part of a church group, visiting from South Carolina. The teen's parents were at the park at the time. This video provided by Six Flags shows the Batman roller coaster in operation. No one was hurt on the ride. This is not the first deadly incident involving the Batman ride at the park. The RCMP would not confirm the reports, only saying that a "major incident" took place late Wednesday evening on the bus as it drove along the Trans-Canada Highway en route to Winnipeg from Edmonton. A man was taken into custody after an hours-long standoff with police ended around 1 a.m. near Portage la Prairie, a city about 85 kilometres west of Winnipeg, according to reports. Passenger Garnet Caton, who was sitting in the seat in front of the victim, told CBC News in gruesome detail how he saw the attacker stab his seatmate, a young man sleeping with his headphones on. Caton said he heard a "blood-curdling scream" and turned around to see the attacker holding a large "Rambo" hunting knife above the victim, "continually stabbing him in the chest area." "He must have stabbed him 50 times or 60 times," said Caton. As panicked passengers fled the bus, "the attacker was over top of the victim ... continually cutting him. Canadian police say the bus was on it's way from Edmonton, Alberta to Winnipeg, Manitoba Wednesday night when the grisly killing happened. A passenger says a man repeatedly stabbed a sleeping passenger, then decapitated the man with a large knife, in front of everyone on the bus. A witness says the attacker then came to the front of the bus carrying the victim's head to show it off. Police aren't giving details, but say the suspect is in custody. The killing has some people wondering how safe the bus line is. News Five spoke with a spokesman for Greyhound last night who tells us security wands are used randomly and only at select locations in the United States. He says because of security reasons he couldn't tell us if they use them here and it has some passengers worried. "Personally I don't feel safe with Greyhound, I mean it's the cheapest way to travel yes, but it's not safe,"Said Patricia Cohen who has taken the bus four times this year. I think they need to up the security you know they need to be concerned and just take care of their passengers, they're paying money to ride the bus so they need to do something about security,"Said another passenger. Greyhound also tells us metal detecting security measures are not in place in Canada, but they're working with transportation officials to change that.
