Denyce Graves: Sing, America! Though I have lived in exile from the USA for 16 years, I still love it with all my heart. I am critical of its policies, but remain convinced it is the greatest example to the world of what Democracy truly means. I would gladly give up my life to defend the ideals of this great nation we have built together with blood, sweat and many tears. This video uses a wonderful, inspiring song written in the 1990s, coupled with images which encompass my thoughts and feelings about the United States. Denyce Graves is one of the most exciting opera singers performing today. A mezzo soprano, she has a voice that is touched by God. I don't listen to a lot of opera, but I am proud to have several of her albums in my collection. I hope you enjoy the song and images.
