Alice In Wonderland 1903/2006 It's been a while since I uploaded anything to this account. I wanted to do something special, so I obtained and restored the very rare, first film version of Alice In Wonderland, made in England by Cecil Hepworth in 1903 (this versatile director also plays Frog in the film). The original negative is severely damaged, and much of the film has deteriorated. No known prints survive anywhere so restoration is next to impossible. However I was able to brighten it considerably and improve its overall appearance with a sepia tint. The music you will recognise as Claude Debussy's "Prelude To The Afternoon Of A Faun." Film's IMDb page: www.imdb.com/title/tt0000420/. The BBC have rescued this film from obscurity by releasing it as an extra, with commentary, on their DVD for the 1966 Jonathan Miller production of Alice in Wonderland. As informative and interesting as the audio commentary was, I find I also quite enjoy viewing this film with a classic, elegant musical accompaniment. This is for the Alice who lives inside of all of us. Aikido Tomiki Kenji sensei　合気道 富木謙治先生 This movie was demonstrated by Tomiki Kenji sensei and Ohba Hideo sensei who were the most important people of Aikido history. Especially Tomiki sensei established Japan Aikido Association (people usually call it Shodokan Aikido or Tomiki Aikido) which has the students all over the world today. Unfortunately I don't know about this movie fully. Actually the original one I bought at somewhere was so terrible because it was mirror image. So I edited it correctly. By the way this movie said Tomiki sensei was 7th degree of Judo. As you know Kodokan gave him 8th degree in 1971. So this movie must have been made before that. And the words of Judo Taiso appeared at first. 'Judu Taiso' exactly means exercises of Judo. I guess this movie might have been made for Judo players. Anyway this movie is definitely valuable. Enjoy!
