Anime Fansub Video Professor - Encoding Part 1 The AMVApp.exe makes it easy. It should install VirtualDub Mod, AviSynth, and bunch of different filters. Visit their site and guide for more indepth tutorial on how to make your video prettier - but for our purposes - the raw is almost always "good enough" for the general public and there's nothing more you need to do. Anime Fansub Video Professor - Encoding Part 2 You can always edit the .AVS (AviSynth file) to add filters and stuff - this is the settings I used in the past. If your raw is 120fps, you have to whack some frames: Decimate(2).Decimate(2).Decimate(5) deen("a2d",4,9,11) FluxSmoothT() ssxsharpen() colorYUV(gain_u=15) tweak(sat=1.2) You can find what each of them do in AMVApp guide. HB 1260 (INDIANA) "Ammo Encoding Bill" (ur state may have 1) INDIANA HB 1260: http://www.in.gov/apps/lsa/session/billwatch/billinfo?year=2008&session=1&request=getBill&doctype=HB&docno=1260 DIGEST OF INTRODUCED BILL Encoded ammunition. Requires ammunition manufacturers to encode all ammunition: (1) provided for retail sale in Indiana; and (2) used in handguns and assault weapons; by July 1, 2009. Prohibits a person from selling ammunition at retail after June 30, 2009, unless the ammunition has been encoded by a manufacturer. Requires the superintendent of the state police department to establish and maintain an encoded ammunition data base before July 1, 2009. Requires ammunition manufacturers and persons who sell ammunition at retail to provide certain information concerning encoded ammunition sales and persons who purchase encoded ammunition to the superintendent for inclusion in the data base. Imposes a fee of $0.05 per round on the sale of encoded ammunition that is sold at retail. Requires the fees to be deposited in the encoded ammunition data base fund to operate the data base. Requires a person who owns ammunition for a handgun or assault weapon that is not encoded ammunition to dispose of the ammunition before July 1, 2011. Makes an appropriation. Illinois HB 4269, 4349 http://www.offensivestuff.com/wordpress/?p=810 Here is what passage of either of these bills would mean to you: 1. Ammunition manufacturers would be required to imprint a secret code on cartridge casings so that the purchaser of the ammunition could be identified. 2. When you purchase ammunition, that secret code would be registered to your name. 3. All your ammunition purchases would be registered with the Illinois State Police. 4. You would be responsible for all eternity for ammunition registered to you. 5. It would be in your best interest to destroy all expended ammunition casings because an unaccounted for empty casing could be used to frame you for a crime you did not commit. 6. You would have to surrender all unregistered ammunition you now own to the Illinois State Police. 7. Reloading would be banned. 8. The Illinois Department of Revenue would be authorized to place a tax on ammunition and raise that tax any time for any reason. 9. Taxes and increased manufacturing costs would raise the price of a box of .45 ammo to $200 or more. 10. Gun ownership would become too costly for most people. Hawaii SB 2020 http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/session2008/Bills/SB2020_.htm Description: Requires ammunition manufactured or sold to be coded; requires the attorney general to maintain an electronic database of coded ammunition. New York HB 7300: http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/NY%20HB%207300.pdf Arizona HB 2833: http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/48leg/2r/bills/hb2833p.pdf Tags: Constitution violation ammo ammunition encoding gun rights second 2nd fourth 4th fifth 5th Amendment unconstitutional |

Tropical Storm Barry - "Lossless" HD Encoding Test A sample test to see what a short clip from my Tropical Storm Barry footage looks like with lossless HD encoding on YouTube. For smooth playback, pause the video and wait until the entire clip buffers (about a minute), then press play. This clip is actually only 16sec but, because of a bug in the conversion process, YouTube incorrectly calculates the time as 5min 29sec. The video was shot on a Sony HC7 and the raw .M2T video file was converted to .FLV, using Total Video Converter (v3.10).
