The Faerie Queene Edmund Spenser's best known work. "Spenser is best known for 'The Faerie Queene,' an epic poem celebrating, through fantastical allegory, the Tudor dynasty and Elizabeth I." ~WikipediA He created his own "Spenserian Sonnet" and stanza form which combined both the Petrarchan sonnet and the Shakespearean sonnet. A controversial figure, he nevertheless used the form to perfection in 'The Faerie Queene' and several other works. The Further Adventures of Faerie Peril An inspired tale brought about by a night of debaucheries and mind bending substances with Jane's Addiction and Porno for Pyros lead vocalist - Perry Farrel. Long steeped in the local club culture of Jacksonville Florida, the duo found themselves witness and quite willing participants to a private after-party hosted by a local promoter for his guest DJ (Farrel), the party lasted long into the wee hours of the morning and a good time was had by all. Mr. Farrel's unique personality, flirty schmooziness and general antics left a lasting impression on the small group of party attendees. It also got the creative minds of Max Michaels and Nathanael Thorin working and what was born from that night was Cell Division Films flagship character... The Faerie Peril. A legend was born. The rest of that day was spent envisioning the character, partly based on an original film concept involving Faeries and Nymphs that lived in a 24hr laundromat, and partly a twisted and whimsical parody of the personality and party character of Perry Farrel made the little Faerie come to life. In the months that followed the duo wrote and sketched, built puppets, drew up backgrounds and storyboards. Amid the daily grind always finding time to chip out a moment or two to make this project into a reality. So it happens that one day they finished. It took long and grief stricken hours of oppressive direction, added and deleted scenes, and long waits for promised soundtrack samples. After discovering the luscious instrumental samples they could pull from the Grim Faeries CD "Disenchanted Forest" and a haunting and as of yet untitled track by Jax locals Sex Crime Of The Sintury, the short film was finally complete. Faerie Tale Theatre: Aladdin (1986). Directed By Tim Burton. This is a clip from the episode "Aladdin" of the TV series "Faerie Tale Theatre" that Shelley Duvall produced in the 80's. It's one of the first things Burton directed for TV, after releasing "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" and right before starting "Beetlejuice". This is the only moment in the whole episode that really has the Burton style.
