John Fahey elegido nuevo presidente de la Agencia Mundial An 19/11/07 A partir del 1 de enero de 2008 el australiano John Fahey presidirá la Agencia Mundial Antidopaje, tras quedarse como candidato único, después de que el presentado por los europeos, se retirara. Es por ello por lo que Fahey no ha contado con el voto de los representantes europeos, tal y como ha explicado el actual presidente Richard Pound. Fahey por su parte se ha mostrado contundente en cuál será el próximo paso a dar por la Agencia. El nuevo código aprobado en la conferencia entrará en Vigor el 1 de enero de 2009. Finalmente los paises no firmantes podrán organizar eventos deportivos. En la actualidad son 71 los países que han firmado ya el Código Mundial Antidopaje y otros 191 han expresado su compromiso para aceptarlo.
