Flash flood Here's what I got of a flash flood. Located in the rain shadow of the cascade mountains we don't commonly get rain here, let alone a tornado warning. Usually the rain gets dumped in the mountains before reaching here. On this day we got a tornado warning along with some flash floods. Firefighters hoisted four people-- including a baby-- to safety after they became stranded by flash floods. The families became trapped north of Los Angeles Sunday. And the nearby town of Lake Isabella-- already scarred by wildfires-- is now coping with a landslide. Bulldozers are working to re-open road and clear tons of mud left by the slides. Two dozen homes were damaged. And officials are urging people-- for the third straight day-- stay away from the area because there's a chance more rain is on the way.
