Fraunhofer FOKUS IMS Community Mashup In the context of combining Telco network capabilities into 3rd party service scenarios and especially Web2.0 application mashups, the FOKUS competence centers for Next Generation Network Infrastructures and Open Communication Systems developed a Web2.0 enabler platform for Telcos. Its usage will be illustrated using a Telco/Web2.0 mashup application scenario that utilities IMS communication channels as well as typical Web2.0 enablers like maps and RSS/Atom feeds. The application is aligned to location-based services for communities that combine Web2.0 services and IMS communication services. Therefore two different views of the scenario are available: 1. WWW-based application mashup that utilizes Google Maps, IMS rich presence with geo information, call control and multi-party conferencing as well as the inclusion of 3rd party Web2.0 services like Jaiku, etc. 2. IMS/Web2.0 combined mobile client using the 3GPP Generic Bootstrapping Architecture (GBA) for HTTP service access. The client uses standard IMS communication mechanisms like instant messaging and VoIP but incorporates specific Web2.0 service enabler in the same manner. The client is capable of provisioning mechanisms on service demand. Technically, the service utilizes besides the OpenIMS core our Parlay X-based network abstraction layer and a policy enforcer for 3rd party service access (OMA PEEM). Additionally, specific Web2.0 service enabler have been created as part of the network abstraction layer that offer community related information to other Web2.0 mashups using RSS.
