Billy Gilman - When You Come Home Video-idea for Billy's latest release, and possibly new single, "When You Come Home". This is just my idea of a music video for this song. If I got to be the director, this is probably what I'd do. The pictures support camera-angles, actions, expressions, scenes and surroundings. The clothes are what I chose for Billy and the actors to "wear" and the text tells what's happening because the pics can't always tell. I used pictures of random boys for the first scene, pictures of Tom Welling for the second scene and pictures of a random adult for the last scene. It's as if Billy's telling the story of another guy's life. Lyrics: My first day of recess, they all laughed at me When I fell off the swing set and scraped up my knee The nurse called my mama to say I'd be late And when she gave me the phone I could hear mama say I'm sorry son, oh I think you're so brave And she was smiling when she said When you come home, no matter how far Run through the door and into my arms It's where you are loved, it's where you belong And I will be here When you come home I waved goodbye through the window and boarded the plane My first job in Houston was waiting for me I found a letter from mama tugged in my coat And as I fueled down the runway I smiled when she wrote I'll miss you son, you'll be so far away And I'll be waiting for the day When you come home, no matter how far Run through the door and into my arms It's where you are loved, it's where you belong And I will be here When you come home I don't think she can hear how the doctor told me Your mama is fading, it's best that you leave So I whispered "I love you" then turned away But I stopped at the door when I heard mama say I love you son, but they're calling me away And promise me before I go When you come home, no matter how far Run through the door and into my arms It's where you are loved, it's where you belong And I will be here When you come home When you come home When you come home Wikipedia-bio: Billy Gilman (born William Wendell Gilman III May 24, 1988) is a Grammy-nominated country music singer-songwriter. Born in Hope Valley, Rhode Island, he lives with his parents Bill and Fran Gilman and his younger brother Colin. At 8, he attracted the attention of a local vocal coach, Angela Bacari, who later became his manager. He met and worked with Ray Benson (of Asleep at the Wheel) who helped record demos, including "Roly Poly". He was then signed to Sony Music Nashville. Shortly before his debut album was released, Billy sang "Roly Poly" with Asleep at the Wheel at the ACM awards on May 8, 2000. This was Billy's first televised performance. Billy's first single, One Voice was released on May 20, 2000 and quickly rose to #1 on the Billboard Country Singles Sales Chart, staying there for 5 weeks. On June 20, 2000, Billy's debut album, also named One Voice was released. When the album was certified Gold by the RIAA on July 19, Billy became youngest country artist ever to accomplish this. On September 12, One Voice album received Platinum certification making him the youngest solo artist of any music genre to achieve this. The album was eventually certified double-platinum status and earned Gilman a Grammy nomination. In January 2001, he was voted the American Music Awards' favorite new country artist, becoming the youngest contender to ever win that prize. He was also given entry into Guinness Book of World Records for being the youngest singer to reach #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, eclipsing the record set by 1960's star Brenda Lee. [1] Gilman released a Christmas album in 2000 titled Classic Christmas which was certified Gold by the RIAA. By the end of the year, Billy was selling 65,000 albums per week. In 2001, Billy released his third album Dare to Dream which was certified Gold by the RIAA. Since then he has released 3 more albums including one based on the poems of Mattie Stepanek, a 13-year old boy with Muscular Dystrophy.Because of puberty, at age 14 Billy was put on vocal rest when his voice began changing. Gilman has appeared on various talk shows, such as The Oprah Winfrey Show as well as performing at the opening ceremonies of the 2006 International Career Development Conference in Dallas, TX and the 2007 International Career Development Conference in Orlando, FL. Both conferences were held by the DECA high school marketing education club. He performed at a benefit for The Station nightclub fire. Billy Gilman - Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer Video-idea for an older Billy Gilman song, Christmas classic Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. This song was recorded for the All Stars Christmas released by Sony in 2000. Lyrics: You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen But do you recall the most famous reindeer of all? Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose. And if you ever saw him, you would even say it glows. All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names. They never let poor Rudolph play in any reindeer games. Then one foggy Christmas eve Santa came to say Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight? Then how the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, you'll go down in history! Billy Gilman - Southern Star (Version 2) A new version of my video-idea for Southern Star. The idea is the same (except the ending), but the first version was the first video I ever made so this one is better as far as pictures and descriptions (subtitles) go, I think. Video-idea for Billy's song "Southern Star" from his self-titled 2006 album, following Everything And More from 2005, Music Through Hearts from 2003, Dare To Dream (the last album before the voice change) from 2001 and Classic Christmas & One Voice both from 2000. Lyrics: I see her climbing my fence She's throwing stones up at my window She loves the midnight hour She wants to play and that's all I need to know I opened the door to the back porch Barefoot on the cold floor Didn't know where she was coming from But that's what I'm goin' for [Chorus] And it seems like the sun never goes down When the daylight fades on this side of town And we're dancin' around Under the southern stars And it feels like there's nothin' but wide open sky When you're spreadin' your wings and learning to fly And you get so high you can't forget where you are I can't come down I've gone too far Wishing on a southern star We take the long way home That's where you find your dreams come true Lying under the falling leaves That's when you change your point of view I fell in love that summer And I tried to tell her But just try to catch an eagle Like you could ever [Chorus] [Chorus Outro] Yeah, it seems like the sun never goes down When the daylight fades on this side of town And we're dancin' around under the southern stars I can't come down, I've gone too far I'm wishin' on my southern star Wikipedia-bio: Billy Gilman (born William Wendell Gilman III May 24, 1988) is a Grammy-nominated country music singer-songwriter. Billy Gilman - God's Alive And Well Video-idea for Billy's song "God's Alive And Well". This is just a script/an idea of what I think a video for this song could have been like. I used pictures from several performances and from the Elisabeth music video to point out the angles and expressions. Lyrics: When I see the stars hang in the sky Oooh When I watch a bird spread its wings and fly And each time I hear the wind blow through the trees Oooh With every breath of air That I breathe all the things I cant see Still inside I believe In a baby's laugh In a mother's eyes Little miracles around us Everyday of our lives The way the sun lights up the dark The hope that I feel in my heart And as far as I can tell God's alive and well Yea, God's alive and well Just like the earth cradles the moon Oooh How that far away sun makes the flowers bloom And the joy only heaven can bring to a soul Oooh If trouble comes I am safe In the hands Cause i know there's a plan My heart understands In a baby's laugh In a mother's eyes Little miracles around us Everyday of our lives The way the sun lights up the dark The hope that I feel in my heart And as far as I can tell God's alive and well Yea, God's alive and well Call it a little bit of luck Or just a simple twist of fate Or we get swept up in the arms And we can feel it everyday In a baby's laugh In a mother's eyes Little miracles around us Everyday of our lives The way the sun lights up the dark The hope that I feel in my heart And as far as I can tell Yes as far as I can tell God's alive and well Yea, God's alive and well As far as I can tell God's alive and well Billy was born WIlliam Wendell Gilman to Fran and Bill, in Westerly, Rhode Island and grew up in Hope Valley, Rhode Island.
