Fred Astaire Ginger Rogers Dance The Highland Fling This color number by Fred and Ginger is not well represented here on YouTube. Being color, it is obviously from their only color film, the 1949 Barkleys of Broadway. Compared to the other numbers in that film, this one is, in my opinion, quite forgettable. It does not take advantage of Ginger's glamourous charms, and Fred overplays his role. Nevertheless, for the die-hard Ginger and Fred fan, it is necessary for completeness, if not for its merits. Ginger/Darren-This Time Yay! My first Ginger MV! anyways, this is from Ginger's POV. This is based off the high school episodes, and is about Ginger and Darren's big break up...the thing that totally messed up the show, but i guess it sorta needed to happen. I mean, Darren was changing into something that he used to hate, so maybe it was best if they did. But anyways! It's mostly about Ginger pondering all of this, wondering what she did wrong in the first 2/3 of the vid. The latter of the video shows her getting a bit better after the break-up, although she feels something for Orion, she still has feelings for Darren. Ginger Snaps (Trailer/Music Video) Custom trailer for the motion picture "Ginger Snaps" with backing music from No Doubt. I picked the song "Comforting Lie" as the lyrics matched up well with the scenes from the film. Such as: 'I am Jekyll, I am Hyde.' 'Oh, so up and down, so back and forth, so insecure.' 'Can't get this taste out of my mouth. Swallow it down.' 'I'm on the verge of tears again.' The chorus ('hold it, hold it all in') represents the character Ginger's suppression of her animal instincts, and their subsequent release when she attacks Trina are shown by the lyrics: 'Oh look I took the Band-Aid off, did I take it off too soon? Hysterical confession, my big courageous move.' Which means she was trying to protect her sister but it resulted in the start of her demise. Bridgette's character can be represented by the lyrics: 'I'm just a normal person, without those problems.' Which means she wants to be there for her sister but is finding it hard. In the end ('toss it away, eliminate, just give up) she decides the only way she can get Ginger to trust she won't betray her is by becoming her.
