"These locals tip the scales at around 30 members, culled from the lineups of other Chicago groups, but you can't blame that on the Polyphonic Sufjan mega-band trend—they're a bona fide glee club. Their sound is so wobbly, so amateur and informal, that calling them a choir would be a bit grandiose, and they plunge into the songs they've chosen—mostly punk and indie-rock standards—with a reckless enthusiasm for which glee is really the only proper synonym. They ooh and aah and bomp-bomp-baah their way through Fugazi's "Waiting Room" and the Clash's "Spanish Bombs," bringing out the songs' latent whimsy—plus you can finally understand all the words. Christmas Glee Christmas Glee... I wrote this one to test and see how many people will read this. see I post my poems online and after posting Christmas Day (which got over 2000 views since Christmas), and posting Christmas Spirit (which got over 2900 views since Christmas). See I had so many people visiting and reading my Christmas poems I decided to make another one and see how many people will read it. All together with all three poems I received over 6000 views and let me tell you something. It is the most invigorating experience to have that many people read my work. I was so happy about it I had checked the website views everyday to see how many people visited today. Well since it is after Christmas, I am not getting the 250 visits in a day that I use to. But like I said, it was amazing to have that many people read my poetry. But the inspiration of this poem just came as a to do list sort of. While I always like to remind myself to enjoy Christmas, there is quite a bit of stuff to do to get in the spirit as it were. ADDU COLLEGE GLEE CLUB 1985 Our own rendition of Richard Genée's Italian Salad (Insalata Italiana). The musical piece is a parody of an Italian opera scene, and was sung by the AdDU College Glee Club in 1985. The AdDU Glee Club's version was accentuated with intentional and occasional nasal blending to provoke the sleepy audience. The loud (and sometimes nonsynchronous) "qua quas" and "tratatas" would remind one of Yoyoy Villame's Butsikik. We thank Fr.
