Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Akuma/Gouki (pt.1) Various Points on Akuma/Gouki: 1.) overhead attack- f+hp (can combo off of w/ right assist) 2.) throw combo ability- hp throw (can combo off of w/ right assist) 3.) slow moving projectile- lp fireball is no sonicboom, but allows for some forward movement, and if angled correctly from the air can stunt normal jump-ins 4.) air mobility- df+k (angled descent w/ an attack), air fireball (floating ability) 5.) ground mobility- hurricane kick w/ hk moving him 3/4 of the screen... hop kick, which avoids most cr. attacks, moves him near 1/2 of the screen ... teleport forward w/ hp taking him pretty much directly in front of opponent... uppercut which serves as anti-air w/ hp version moving him 1/2 screen 6.) fast attacks- i will only note those that beat or are on par with magneto's: c.lp, lk, hp, c.hp, c.hk, j.hp, j.hk 7.) damage output- (basic combos performed on Ryu who has 100% damage) ground combo does about 80/143 using 1 hc meter... air combo does about 90/143 using 1 hc meter 8.) meter building- average (e.g., sj.hpx3 to lp air fireball then sj.hp...sj and repeat 4x for 1 meter) 9.) chip damage- nothin fancy...just be creative w/ your assist and attack patterns here, but... you could work around the quick recovery time of his hurricane kicks and see how many you can get out before your opponent realizes when their opening is b/w you and your assist... nevertheless a simple pushblock will unwrap any possible blockchain here... Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Akuma/Gouki pt.2 (Hp Throw, F+Hp) This vid showcases assists that pair specifically well with Akuma as he performs his Hp Throw and his F+Hp normal (Zugai Hasatsu). Hp Throw: The throw leaves the opponent on the ground afterwards which allows them to be hit again before they fall. Though it can be teched out of, it is a potent tool for setting up Akuma's combos. -Sentinel (Ground): the drones add extra dmg to the throw...if you want to use the Hk throw, the drones will automatically leave you in the offensive with them on guard as they land -Thanos (Capture): very compatible with Gouki's Hp throw, instant set-up off of his throw for whatever you fancy -Spiral (Projectile): offers a possible f/u based on the simple fact that it appears as if her sword projectile has fully passed over the opponent's rising body, however the back end nips them as they stand...could be a slight trick in getting them to think they are safe, then you following up with a Messatsu Go Hadou on hit for near 50% dmg -Omega Red (Throw): very compatible, another instant set-up after Akuma's Hp throw...a bit advanced in maintaining your orientation after they are tossed, but the opponent will always be thrown directly above where they were first grabbed by Red allowing for an air combo F+Hp/ Zugai Hasatsu: This normal must be blocked standing, therefore, it allows you to play mix-up in your offensive game where you force the opponent to guess whether to block high for the possible Z-Hasatsu or block low for the fakexxdashxxc.lk to launch these assists allow for a standing f/u: Sentinel (Ground)/Thanos (Capture)/ Spiderman (Capture)/ Spiral (Projectile/Ground)/ Storm (Projectile) these assists you must otg off of: Marrow (Expansion)/ Iron Man, War Machine (Anit-Air)/ Dhalsim (Ground/Anti-Air) Gambit (Projectile)/ Jin (Expansion)/ Psylocke (Anti-Air) these assists leave your opponent ready in the air: Magneto (Capture)/ Omega Red (Throw)/ Storm (Expansion) notable simply for the amount of dmg on confirm: Tron (Projectile) advanced assists for Akuma/Gouki players that add to the mix-up value of blocking high or low...these assists must be blocked standing also, but spacing is very specific--especially for Jugz-in order to set them up correctly: Chun Li (Expansion)/ Juggernaut (Variety) *other mention: Dr. Doom (Anti-Air), & ? Mugen Shin Gouki(Me) vs Wonder Woman Reloaded Shin Gouki(Me) vs Wonder Woman Reloaded by "Loganir" Good Lord! Wonder Women Reloaded is insanely difficult. This is a boss character for sure. The first time that I fought her, she owned me 2 rounds in a row. I was lucky in this fight. I had to use hit and run tactics to beat her. She has the ability to reflect energy attacks right back at you. She's invincible while she's standing up, so trying to do my low punches during that time is a big no-no. This is another character that will show you no mercy when you're in a corner, try to avoid that. During one of her moves(the one where she puts on her suit of armor)her body becomes as hard as steel. Mugen Shin Gouki(Me) vs Marisa Kirisame by Toma This has been my greatest challenge so far. Marisa Kirisame is the toughest boss character ever made IMO. Yeah, she may look like a cute little innocent anime character, but she's a harcore badass! Getting through the first round may be easy, but the socond round...not so much. She has different stages during this round. Each stage is tougher then the last. Don't under estimate Marisa Kirisame. Toma did a really good job with this character. She's now one of my favorite Mugen characters. Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Akuma/Gouki pt.3 (Assist DHC Potential) A lot of ppl ask for what song is in the bg, so I found out eventually: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrfVIgEo7rc Have fun! $*This vid does not show all potential DHC's with Gouki. It focuses on his air combo for max damage purposes off of his tatsumaki. This video is simply meant to show the DHC potential of possible assist choices for Akuma. Gouki is an offensive character, so he is mostly a point character for 2 reasons: he must be constantly on the offensive (he takes 135% dmg on hit!!!), and he offers poor options as a versatile DHC 2nd (his primary being Messatsu Gou Hadou, which is horribly weakened on DHC). Simply because he must remain offensive, it does not mean he should be reckless (135%?!?). All his hits must count (100%!!!). He needs to maximize his Hp throw, Zugai Hasatsu mix-up, air comboXXtatsumaki, and his ground comboXXMGH. As a point, he would need to have an assist that presents a STRONG opportunity for these advantages, while also providing some cover from the crazy points of dmg he could suffer on hit. Also, though certain assists may be compatible for Akuma, is Akuma compatible as an assist for that character when they are on point? Balance. I would suggest choosing an assist of your preference to back up Akuma's offensive strategy while on point, and saving your 3rd character as a counter for whichever team you are facing (ground/air/close-screen/far-screen control). Check out the vid to see the amount of dmg possible off of some character choices for Akuma. Afterwards, think on strategy and decide who is better for Gouki match-wise. Peace NEXT VID!! Amingo... M.U.G.E.N Rematch - Shin Gouki (Me) vs. Shin Lvl 2 Akuma Considering the first one was in rather bad condition, quality-wise, I decided to have a rematch with Shin Lvl 2 Akuma. Needless to say, my second match proved to be a far tougher one. I am also constrained to reassess my initial evaluation of the character: he's much more fucking annoying than I thought he was!! Nevertheless, I defeated him no problem. One word of advice though; don't try the Shun Goku Satsu(a.k.a. The Raging Demon) on him while he's being controlled via AI. He'll just invincible teleport out of the way, even if you have a clear shot, even if your Gouki or Evil Ryu or Sakura or Homer is right next to him and are even touching him. Maybe its just my constants.cns that is producing the problem, but, no matter. Oh, I'm also using this to show off a palette I made: Super Saiyan Gouki FTW! If this is your first time seeing him, yes, he has Super Saiyan hair. This guy is extremely CHEAP! Ok, at the beginning of each round, for some reason his AI is weak. But after the first 5-15 seconds, his true AI kicks in and he becomes a cheap bastard. I mean, this guy counters everything. His cheap counter attack was also his downfall in this fight. He can also shoot 2-6 fireballs at once. The main thing that I hate about him is his grab moves. Sometimes they take at least 1/4 of your health and most of the time, they're impossible to dodge. The only way that I could beat him is to force him into the air and unleash a devastating combo before he hits the ground. Also, he leaves himself open after his little teleport counter. Hit him with a grab move during that. Rinse and repeat. I wouldn't bother attempting a normal combo on this guy. Specials only. This song was used because the first time that I seen Aragon was in Ysaquerai's "Shiki Nanaya VS Aragon" fight. It just seems like his song IMO. There really isn't much to Raging Ken. His moves are just very fast. Wild Ken EX is overpowered and he has high defense. Try to avoid getting get by his specials. MUGEN: Shin Gouki vs. "School Days" (Bonus Game!) This is a demonstration featuring Shin Gouki (by P.o.t.S.) as he takes on the "School Days" bonus game (by どうでもいい人). "School Days" is a bonus game like "Strength Training" and "Duck Hunt". Basically you have to try to K.O. Kotonoha/Sekai before you get K.O.ed yourself. While it isn't very hard, it does get a bit annoying, since the girls zip and fly by so quickly. Also, the girls in the background don't do anything, except Otome, who occasionally throws foreign objects at you. And watch out for Kotonoha's ULTIMATE ATTACK, which takes off more than 50% of your life bar! EDIT: I have since found out that the contest has ended, and the trial version has been taken offline, so you may request at your heart's content. Just drop me an e-mail address.
