Luthien - The White Lily Music: "Aniron" (LOTR soundtrack) - Enya Four years ago I began to write with a friend of mine a sort of "dialogue-tale"; my character was the Elven Princess Luthien created by Tolkien and hers was Cassandra, Quuen of the Damned, created by Ann Rice. Well, Tolkien and Rice are two worlds too different, so we soon started to abandon tha original plot, the Middle-Earth setting...Now, after lots of time, our story is set in modern age, and Luthien stopped to be Tolkien's Luthien and became MY Luthien. But she keeps some Tolkien's Luthien features: she the sweetest creature in the world, she's the most beautiful Elven Princess the mankind has ever seen, she is brave, loyal, fairy, tender, deeply in love...She is as a light to her friends I think that alla the real Ringers will hate this video, and surely they will hate my Story if they could read it. But this is not a bad tribute to Tolkien, for I love Him, I love LOTR and The Silmarillion, I love Luthien but I also love my Story, even if it is not perfect, or very beautiful, or...Well, I love it, it is my dream! So, please, Ringers, do not hate me! One day, one day...maybe you will read my Story! Beren and Lúthien- The Quest for the Silmaril Beren and Lúthien in sims 2 version The Quest for one of the Silmarils So, for the ones that never have readen The Silmarillion nor know Beren and Lúthien story, here is a brief resume of it: Beren, after passing very dangers and perils, entered in Doriath, land of Melian and Thingol. Beren took rest in the forest and, suddenly, he ears a song: he follow the sound and find a she elf, a very beautiful one: Lúthien, doughter of Thingol and Melian. He calls her Tinúviel and they fall in love. After that, Beren asks permission to Thingol to despose Lúthien and Thingol doesnt agree. Although, Beren promises one of the Silmarils from the crown of Morgoth. Thingol agrees and sand Beren to Angband, the fortress of Morgoth. But Beren was trapped by Sauron, and lied in a prision, with Finrod, king of Nargothrond and one more elf. This two died, bur Beren remained. In Doriath, Thingol didnt let Lúthien follow her lover and put her in a tree-house. But she escape and fly to Saurons fortress. She was been caught by Curufin and his other brother, Celegorm and they took her to Nargothrond. But the Valinor dog, Huan, helped Lúthien. In this video, there is no Huan, cause I have no Sims Pets! xDD She rescues Beren and they run to Angband, with masks. Then, she sings and Carcharoth, the wolf falls asleep. They enter in Angband and she sings for Morgoth. He falls asleep too and Beren take the one Silmaril. Then they escape, but the wolf wakes up and atack Beren, swolling the Silmaril. After that, they fly to Doriath and remain in the lands. Then they talk to Thingol and Beren desposes his love. But the wolf came and killed Beren. The Silmaril went to Thingol. cause the wolf died. Lúthien dies too. But she asks to live and they went to Tol Galen and had a son, Dior. Thingol was killed by dwarfs, because of the Silmaril, now in the necklece Nauglamír. But the necklece was saved and elves from Ossiriand took it to Tol Galen and it remain with Lúthien. Dior went to Doriath and rule it. He recevied the necklece after his parents death and the angst of Feanor's sons went to Doriath. But the neclece was been saved, by Elwing, daughter of Dior, who merried with Earendil. In the end, the Silmaril went to Valinor and that one, was the only that has been saved, cause the others have been vanish forever: in in the fires of Arda and the other one on the waters. Song of Beren and Lúthien The poem of Beren and Lúthien by JRR Tolkien, set to song (and) performed by the Tolkien Ensemble. The artwork is by Tolkien himself, some is by Ted Nasmith, and a number of others that I found over time on the internet. I wanted to remain true to the story itself and to what Tinúviel means to me .. a tribute to love that will yield for nothing. To the best that man or elf can hope to achieve: to courage, daring and being steadfast, to gentleness and beauty that wins from brute force, to 'Estel' (high hope). I took care to avoid the "pointy ears", which I find nonsensical. It does not feel "true". The difference between Elves and Men is 'fate' .. the role they each play in the unfolding of the story of Arda. The lay of Leithian is where these fates mesh most clear and dramatic. Accentuating a superficial (and in my opinion nonexisting) distinctive feature only diminishes the true meaning. This is about two *persons* - not two cartoon characters. They don't come much realer. This a is sort of mixture, a sort of dream, between Past (when Cassandra and Alagos were in love), and Present (when Luthien and Alagos are in love, after sealing Cassandra on a stone throne).
