Phil Lynott - Spanish Guitar This is the original single of "Spanish Guitar" that Phil Lynott recorded with Gary Moore for Moore's 1979 single. As the story goes, this was approaching its release when Moore and Lynott had a falling out while Thin Lizzy was on the road promoting the "Black Rose" album. Gary Moore redid Lynott's vocals and released the single. That version was the one that was released to a majority of the world, except for Sweden, which accidently released the version with Lynott's vocals. Oops. This was taken from 'The Man and His Music' 7-disc set. Sorry about the quality...there's a few moments of hiss and squeaks that someone with an ear for it could probably fix. Regardless, enjoy! The Rockers (Phil Lynott) - We Are The Boys (RARE) The Rockers playing their only single called "We Are The Boys (Who Make All The Noise)". After the end of Thin Lizzy and before Grand Slam, Phil Lynott (in 1983) teamed up with former membres of Status Quo and The Move and started a new project. This band would play classic rock'n'roll music from the 50's and 60's. The medley on this video includes "Great Balls Of Fire", "Johnny B. Good", and some others big hits of classic rock. The 'B' side of "We Are The Boys (Who Make All The Noise)" single includes the song "Rockin' On Stage". The Rockers ended soon after this single release. The Rockers was: Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy, Grand Slam) - Bass and Vocals Roy Wood (The Move) - Guitar and Vocals Chas Hodges - Piano and vocals John Coghan (Status Quo) - Drums This is a very rare and unsual video record at a Tv Show called "Saturday Stayback" in 1983. (Thin Lizzy) Phil Lynott - Somebody Elses Dream (Live) Phil Lynott and Friends performing live at Old Grey Whistle Test (11th April 1981) the song "Somebody Elses Dream". This song was the B side of his single "Togheter" from Phil's second solo record called "The Philip Lynott Album (1982)". The music is a little bit different than it is on the 12 inch lp. Phil Lynott plays bass and Vocals. Brian Downey on Drums, Darren Wharton on Keyboards and Huey Lewis on the harmonica. This is a song that few Thin Lizzy die hard fans knows about. Rory Gallagher & Phil Lynott - This Is The Woman [audio] Festival at Punchestown Racecourse, Naas (Co. Kildare, Ireland), 18 jul 1982. Paul Brady and Phil Lynott join with Rory Gallagher. This song Phil takes bass and vocal. Mr.kevburke first commented that Rory and Phil should be patron saints of Irish music, Mr.evans128 agreed and asked "did Rory and Phil ever do anything together?" I could not answer. A week later, my friend gave me a bootleg of this festival. But my friend did not know our conversation here at all. It's a curious coincidence. Christmas trick from Heaven by Rory? or by Phil? We can see details about the festival in www.shadowplays.com/archive/punch.html Tags: rory gallagher live 1982 82 festival punchestown ireland phil lynott this is the woman blues rock |
