Eli Kerr - America's Got Talent - Magician - THERE ARE NO MIRRORS! Its the angle that the cameras captured that makes this clip look that way. Eli and his assistants walk behind the box, just not shown well in this clip. You can see his cape, reflected on the floor at 0:59, you can see the complete line of stars across the backdrop at 1:01 and 1:03, that would not be possible if there were mirrors reflecting the floor. You can see Eli's cape and the assistants feet BEHIND the box at 1:11 - 1:12, you can easily see the assistant walk behind the box at 1:17, and again Eli's cape lying BEHIND the box at 1:25, 1:28 and 1:30. you can see the complete backdrop stars and Eli's cape through the box legs at 1:46. There was was a similar illusion IN THE EARLY 20th CENTURY that used mirrors under the box to reflect the floor, this IS NOT that illusion, nor would it work in the setting that this illusion is performed in. And the judges are sitting in front at close range, they would see something as obvious as mirrors. Nuff said... No mirrors!
