Maparam Double Ocarina Review This is a quick review of my Maparam Double Ocarina that I've had for a week now. I wish that I had somewhere better to record, as my room has bad acoustics. The ocarina wasn't warmed up well when I played the song at the end, so it doesn't sound at its best :-( I hope this review is helpful for you if you're considering ocarinas :-) These are the best ocarinas I've used yet! Review Maparam and Focalink Double Alto C Well then, first ever review. *Please forgive my grammar and pronouncement. Ye gods I need to practice my English.* This is a comparison between the Focalink and the Maparam Double Alto C Ocarinas. Though I recommend the Maparam, the Focalink one is 100 USD cheaper. But anyway, I hope you guys enjoy my review even though it's a long one. I even had to separate the sound samples from the rest. It's be a video response to this though, so please check that one out too if you're interested in these ocarinas. Something I forgot to say in the review is: Both ocarinas are tuned in the key of C, same as a piano. From the beginning until now (처음부터 지금까지) on Triple Ocarina This is another song that I was inspired to play from the great ocarinist Osawa Satoshi, whom I look up to. I played it by ear from listening to his performance. I'm not entirely happy with this recording, since it's a first attempt - so I hope to record a better version in future! The song is from a Korean drama (겨울연가 - Winter Sonata) that made its millions of viewers burst into tears..including me. 村時雨 - Village Rain in F on Triple Ocarina This song is one of my favourite ocarina songs to listen to. It is ocarina music composed by Aketagawa Shoji for the Alto C, Sop-G and Sop-C ocarina, or the Triple ocarina. Big thanks to Mr. Pankuolong and Mr. Kokor for helping out with the back-music.
