Jonny Olsen-Farang Yak Bpen Mawlum This song is about how Jonny went to learn Mawlum in Khon Kaen, Thailand with his teacher Mae Ratri Sivilai. Please try to support Jonny even though he's not Lao or Thai. He loves Lao/Northeast Thailand folk music just as much as a Thai or Laotian, maybe even more! He's been playing khaen for about 4 years. Please excuse him for having an accent while singing and talking. He's still learning. He's only been learning Mawlum and the language for about two years. He's very happy to be able to do it. Jonny loves to play khaen and sing Mawlum and wants to promote Lao and Thai culture. Thank you. Tags: Morlum Lum Khaen Farang Jonny Olsen Lao Thai Khene Mohlam Lam Mawlum |

Jonny Olsen- LAI NYAO LUM SING Jonny Olsen- The first "Farang Khaen Player Champion" won in Khon Kaen, Thailand 2005. Also the first "Farang" to make an album singing "Mawlum Glawn and Lum Sing." What used to be called lai yao is now lum sing. Lai Yao is from Mawlum Glawn and back then there was only a singer and a khaen player. Now Mawlum Sing involves more instruments like a guitar, bass, keyboards, and a saxaphone. Plus many cute dancers. Lum Sing is an E-sarn favorite.
