Asad Amanat Ali Khan with Mehnaz - Peepal ki ChhayyaN -Audio On the first death anniversary of Asad Amanat Ali Khan heres another of his film songs, a beautifully knitted chorus with Mehnaz and others. Again he has displayed a touch of his class near the end of the song. I had compiled a 90 min recording of his film songs in 1989 from a lot of scattered 45rpm records and i personally believe he was capable of singing just anything as regards film songs. Among the three brothers he was the favourite of his grandpa Ustad Akhter Hussain and he learned the Patiyala Gharana Classics very quickly in early age. He was fully capable of singing shudh classical, semi-classical, light-music geet n ghazals and film songs with utmost ease and comfort. His film songs are simply inimitable though he got popularity mostly by his live performances in public by singing folk songs, geet, ghazals and semi-classical msic. May his soul rest in peace. aamin. (He died on 8th April 2007 and the deadbody reached on 10th for burial in Pakistan) Note: Theres a blank play AFTER the end of song. This is left intentionally so that we can pray for him during it. Thanx P.S. Its worth mention that today is the also the death anniversary of first Pakistani Pop Singer for Movies... Ahmed Rushdi. He died in the night between 10th n 11th this month cuz of heart attack. May Allah rest him in Peace as well. Mehnaz sings in Kainat and Azmayesh Bachpan ke Hum Sathi Dono..is a sequel of my previous upload from Kainat where Ghulam Abbas sang on same tune..but the obvious difference is that lyrics are happy/romantic here while in male version it was sad poetry :) Does this remind you of film Guide where S.D.Burman did the same with a couple of songs? Insan 1977 Na Koi Wada Hua Mehnaz Khwaja Khurshid Anwar Rare First time presenting this song in complete form on Net. Insan had 9 music directors with one song a piece and it is interesting to note that all the songs included Mehnaz. Prince (Best of Mehnaz Series) Aik Chehra Mere Khwabon mein & Dosti tum say Dushmani tum say Theese two songs of Mehnaz from Film Prince are among my all-time favourites and the reason is beautiful romantic lyrics (by Khwaja Parvez), melodious composition (by Kamal Ahmed) and perfect rendition (by Mehnaz Begum of course). Songs may already be present but am forced to include them in my 'best of singer series' Hope u like them.. ...in first song i also liked the deep & resolute looks with determination on the face of Babra Sharif in first 50 seconds of the song.. and Baig sahab looked as 'goof' in three-piece suit as he usually looks in it. Right from Chakori my mind never accepts him as a graceful personality..hes best in villager type role or a simple working dress of jeans n t-shirt but he never has the personality to look graceful in 3 piece suit which other Pak actors had..for example Santosh Kumar & Mohammad Ali looked dashing n perfect sober in it..even Waheed Murad and Ghulam Mohiuddin too..but never Nadeem. In fact, Nadeem ka naam suntay hi zehn mein daant nikosay aur chehray par himaqat liay 5 feet ka aik bona aa jata hay jo serious ho to bhi aik hi style mein hath kamar par baandh leta hay aur moonh neechay karkay taqreer shuru karta hay aur jab taqreer khatam karta hay to pata chalta hay kay film bhi sath hi khatam honay par aa gai hay :D Dance kartay huay Shabnam ko apni taraf khainchta hay to wo is say move nahi hoti aur khud doosri taraf ja pahunchta hay :D khair this is just a joke lest his fans get hurt :) About 2nd song...Very few songs are unique when it comes to the subject in lyrics..mostly all carry similar logics and arguments which have been repeated many many time till now..But here for the only time a Love-Hate relationship has been brought into song (by lyricist Khwaja Parvez) This is apparently a strange but essential part of a relation.. A typical teenager love (or even mature love affair) may or may not reach this stage where we love a person but simultaneously hate him/her as well..for some reason (known or unknown)..Well it is a complex human mind..but being a poet myself i envy on Khwaja Parvez for this novel subject in a film song..the composition of Kamal Ahmed is such a beautiful one that ...when Mehnaz renders it perfectly...despite being a romantic song..my eyez become wet..(again complex human mind nah :) Years n years ago a ghazal of Nasir Kazmi was being recorded at Lahore Radio Studio and Farida Khanam rendered it in such a mellow voice that i hardly managed to resist a cry on it and had to leave studio immediately so as not to interrupt recording with my feelings.. Ghazal was "Garifta Dil hain bahut aaj tere deewanay ...Khuda karay koi tre siwa na pehchanay...Miti Miti si Umeedein, thakay thakay say khayaal..bujhay bujhay say nigaahon mein ghum kay afsanay..&...Khayal aa gaya maayuus rehguzaaron ka...PalaT kay aa gayay manzil se tere deewanay... Sorry for being so descriptive again..but that has become a habit more or less now :) irrespective of whether anyone reads it or not, you tube is gradually becoming a social network cum Blogging and sort of catharsis platform for many..may be I fit in somewhere in these categories too..though am strictly an introvert :) Enjoy the song anyways..
