Spy Video: 2010 Ford Mustang by Inside Line http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/GeneralFuture/articleId=126178?tid=edmunds.il.futurelanding.latestnews..3.* You have to look closely to see the changes in the 2010 Ford Mustang, the car that will be battling the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro for our attention. Our spy shooters were able to capture video of several prototypes on the streets of Michigan, and the cars all wore several layers of heavy camouflage. There are some visible changes to the 2010 Mustang's grille, as some of these prototypes show some extra brightwork around the headlights. The hood has a slightly different shape as well, but it's probably nothing more than a little Styrofoam to hide the true design. It doesn't appear as though heavy sheet metal changes are in the works for the rest of the car, since the overall greenhouse appears unchanged. Both the coupe and convertible test mules were wearing a new set of double-spoke wheels along with relatively low-profile tires. Changes to the rear end are harder to discern. Multiple pieces of disguise hide the true shape of the rear bumper, while the lights appear unchanged from the current model. Most of the changes are expected to come under the hood. A 5.0-liter V8 will replace the current 4.6-liter V8, which should result in a decent bump in horsepower. It's not an all-new engine, though, merely an enlarged version of the 24-valve SOHC V8. The real news will be the introduction of Ford's new EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6. Its twin-turbo setup should deliver more than 300 hp while delivering superior mileage compared to the 5.0-liter V8. How Ford will pitch the new high-tech engine is tough to call, but expect some sort of special edition to highlight the new power plant. As finished as these prototypes look, the 2010 Ford Mustang isn't expected to go on sale until the fall of 2009. The EcoBoost-powered version will come even later. It sounds like a long way off, but the timing should give the new Mustang a little bit of breathing room after the introduction of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro earlier in the year. Saleen mustang twin turbo over 900 rwhp!!! THIS IS NOT MY CAR. NOR DO I KNOW THE GUY WHO OWNS IT. Let's also clear something up.. this car has 900 rwhp(rear wheel horsepower)... that's different from bhp(brake horsepower) which is measured from the engine. The bugatti veyron has 1000Bhp, not whp(power to the wheels, since it's awd). rwhp is ROUGHLY 15-20% less than bhp. so a car with 1000bhp probably has around 850rwhp. With that said, this car has probably around 1100 bhp... so please retards, don't say that the veyron has more hp bc it clearly doesn't. Whether it goes faster is completely different and if your e-penis gets bigger after stating your opinion, then go for it. With that said, here is a description of everything done to the car THAT I FOUND ON THE WEBSITE THAT I FOUND THIS VIDEO FROM(for the tards who wonder how I know so much about it): This car started out as a 1999 Mustang GT 5 speed. The car retains most of the factory interior excpet for the gauge cluster which has been replaced with the Florida 5.0 Setup. I will give you a rundown of what the car has. This car made 888Rwhp and 787+Rwtq on the dyno BLOWING the tires of the car on the rollers. Car was tuned by Job Spetter Jr from Turbo People and was still unable to fully tune the car because they couldn't get traction on the dyno. This is the car that WILL spin at 100+mph. Car retains Power steering with a custom P/S pump added to the otherwise factory power steering and braking system. The turbos on this car are low mounted, so you can't see them from the engine compartment. They are hidden neatly behind the front facia of the car, the turbo inlets feed right from the bottom of the saleen skirt. Car does have an oil scavange system as they are mounted so low. Interior: Mainly all original. El nuevo K.I.T.T. es un Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR y aunque en la serie veremos tres versiones diferentes, la que más nos gusta es la que circula solito y sin nadie al volante. La cadena de televisión estadounidense NBC ha dado hoy una rueda de prensa para anunciar el esperado retorno de Michael Knight a la pequeña pantalla. Knight Rider debutará el 17 de febrero con una película (¿episodio piloto?) de dos horas de duración protagonizada por Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo, Sydney Tamiia Poitier y Bruce Davison. La voz de KITT en la versión original la pondrá el actor Will Arnett, conocido por su papel en la hilarante Arrested Development. Para la nueva serie de televisión se emplearán tres versiones distintas de KITT: una "normal" de 540 caballos llamada KITT Hero, una mucho más veloz y belicosa denominada KITT Attack, y una última sin conductor, bautizada como KITT Remote. Como ya te contamos, ahora KITT tendrá tres "disfraces": KITT Hero, su versión normal; KITT Attack, el modo de asalto (arriba); y KITT Remote, para cuando Michael susurre a su Seiko eso de "KITT, te necesito". La verdad es que Ford se ha apuntado un gran punto al conseguir el papel de la serie para el Shelby GT500KR. Posiblemente el nuevo Camaro (o incluso un Corvette) hubiera quedado mejor, pero así son las cosas del marketing, y en ocasiones el dinero pesa más que los buenos recuerdos de los telespectadores.
