Boris Johnson with Jeremy Paxman on Newsnight debate Boris Johnson unable to give a cost for the replacement of bendy buses in London. This was Boris' first and only policy for many months and he is still now unable to say how much it would cost. First he said it would cost just £8 million, now he doesn't seem to have any idea at all. A truly awful performance from the candidate for Mayor of London. Even Jeremy Paxman seems at a loss. Climate Camp - Porritt & Monbiot on BBC Newsnight, 5th August 2008: Part 2 Why do many environmentalists give so much credence to George Monbiot? It's a question that's always puzzled me in some ways, but not others. His desparate 'about face' vis-a-vis Nuclear Power exposes his politics even more barely than before - he is a bourgeois liberal, who think that only social democracy can halt climate change. Accordingly, he never mentions class, and rarely critiques capitalism at the root level that is necessary if we are truly to develop a collective understanding of the problem and thereby the solution to the problems we are facing. The truth be told, the 'environmental movement' is infested with types like him, and it is holding us all back. They're far too cosy with the media and overly concerned with 'media image', have no analysis of capitalism, are very authoritarian, and think non-violence is a strategic rather than a tactical issue. Will Climate Camp invite him next year? If they do, I for one will go along to heckle and argue with Mr 'I need 4 allotments'... You can also refer people who live in any of the above countries. *If you want to gain referrals quickly, consider trading with other freebie hunters. This is a popular method where you can trade a referral for referral, or referral for cash. ****WARNING**** Scammers are trying to scam people into signing up under a "hacked" link, claiming it will give you up to 999 instant referrals. There is no such thing as a "hacked link" - by signing up under their so-called "hacked" link, you will be giving the scammer a free referral to his/her account, and you will never see those instant referrals they falsely claim you will. If there was a genuine "hack", they would already have all the referrals they need, and would not be trying to persuade you to sign up. If you've been scammed, you can report it to the freebie website and ask to have yourself removed from your scammer's referral list, it is also likey that the freebie site will disable his/her account for scamming.
