Hingga Senin (28/4) dini hari, api masih berkobar di sekitar tersebut. Aksi bakar masjid ini adalah puncak dari emosi warga yang menilai keputusan pemerintah menutup aktivitas peribadatan jemaah Ahmadiyah masih setengah hati. Apalagi, hingga kini kegiatan peribadatan ajaran Ahmadiyah masih terus berlangsung. Sebagai pusat kegiatan Ahmadiyah terbesar kedua di Indonesia, pascakeputusan Badan Koordinasi Pengawas Aliran Kepercayaan (Bakor Pakem) Kejaksaan Agung, seluruh organisasi massa Islam di Sukabumi telah merapatkan barisan. Mereka pun meminta aktivitas ibadah jemaah Ahmadiyah di Sukabumi ditutup [baca: Sesatkah Ahmadiyah?]. Tak hanya membakar masjid. Mereka juga merusak madrasah milik jemaah Ahmadiyah. Pengurus Ahmadiyah Sukabumi pun menyayangkan sikap warga dan aparat. Karena sebelumnya telah disepakati berbagai hal menyangkut aktivitas Ahmadiyah. Lantaran itulah pihak Ahmadiyah akan menempuh jalur hukum atas perusakan dan pembakaran tersebut. Pihak Kepolisian Sektor Parakan Salak sejauh ini masih menyelidiki dan mengamankan sejumlah anggota jemaah. Berdasarkan informasi yang diterima SCTV, aksi anarkis itu tak menimbulkan korban jiwa. Hanya saja suasana Kabupaten Sukabumi menjadi sepi. Saat dihubungi via telepon, Kepala Kepolisian Resor Sukabumi Ajun Komisaris Besar Polisi Guntor Gaffar menyatakan, pihaknya sudah meminta keterangan delapan orang terkait amuk massa tersebut. Para saksi itu adalah warga Sukabumi. Kendati demikian, menurut Guntor, polisi belum mengarah kepada pelakunya. Ketika ditanyakan apakah pihak kepolisian kecolongan, Guntor mengatakan massa masuk dari arah belakang masjid. Adapun untuk mengantisipasi aksi susulan, polisi telah mengamankan beberapa basis kegiatan jemaah Ahmadiyah di Sukabumi. Pembakaran Masjid Al-Furqon dan sekolah madrasah milik jemaah Ahmadiyah di Sukabumi, menyisakan kesedihan dan ketakutan bagi pengikut aliran tersebut, terutama yang sempat menjadi saksi mata aksi anarkis itu. Rina, misalnya. Ia dan ibunya yang kejadian berlangsung berada tak jauh dari amuk massa terpaksa lari dan bersembunyi di rumahnya. "Mereka (massa) disuruh bubar enggak mau, [katanya] harus sampai terbakar," ucap Rina. Berbeda dengan di Sukabumi, jemaah Ahmadiyah di Kota Bukittinggi, hingga saat ini masih leluasa beraktivitas. Kendati di beberapa tempat di Sumatra Barat, kegiatan jemaah ini dilarang oleh warga lain. Kantor Cabang Ahmadiyah di Bukittingi, pun masih terlihat sama dengan suasana sebelum Bakor Pakem mengeluarkan kebijakan tentang larangan bagi jemaah Ahmadiyah. Para pengikut setia Ahmadiyah di sana, masih menjalankan aktivitasnya sehari-hari sembari menunggu keputusan dari pengurus pusat Ahmadiyah. Namun mereka mengaku selama ini tidak mendapat halangan dari warga sekitar. Di kota tersebut terdapat hampir 100 orang pengikut Ahmadiyah. Adapun mayoritas warga Bukittinggi tidak peduli dengan kebijakan yang dikeluarkan pemerintah terhadap aliran Ahmadiyah.
