Jupiter sounds (so strange!) NASA-Voyager recording From an original CD: JUPITER NASA-VOYAGER SPACE SOUNDS (1990) BRAIN/MIND Research Fascinating recording of Jupiter sounds (electromagnetic "voices") by NASA-Voyager. The complex interactions of charged electromagnetic particles from the solar wind , planetary magnetosphere etc. create vibration "soundscapes". It sounds very interesting, even scary. Jupiter is mostly composed of hydrogen and helium. The entire planet is made of gas, with no solid surface under the atmosphere. The pressures and temperatures deep in Jupiter are so high that gases form a gradual transition into liquids which are gradually compressed into a metallic "plasma" in which the molecules have been stripped of their outer electrons. The winds of Jupiter are a thousand metres per second relative to the rotating interior. Jupiter's magnetic field is four thousand times stronger than Earth's, and is tipped by 11° degrees of axis spin. This causes the magnetic field to wobble, which has a profound effect on trapped electronically charged particles. This plasma of charged particles is accelerated beyond the magnetosphere of Jupiter to speeds of tens of thousands of kilometres per second. It is these magnetic particle vibrations which generate some of the sound you hear on this recording. Visit http://www.inner-net.com/bmr/bmrpg2aa.html for more sounds. Enrico Caruso - Santa Lucia (1916) SANTA LUCIA Original voice recording: 1916 --BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION-- (from Wikipedia) Enrico Caruso (born Errico Caruso; February 25, 1873 -- August 2, 1921) was an Italian opera singer and one of the most famous tenors in history. Caruso was also the most popular singer in any genre in the first two decades of the 20th Century and one of the most important pioneers of recorded music. Caruso's popular recordings and his extraordinary voice, known for its mature power, beauty and unequalled richness of tone, made him perhaps the best-known operatic star of his era. Such was his influence on singing style, virtually all subsequent Italianate tenors (and many non-Italian tenors) have been his heirs to a greater or lesser extent. He remains famous, though he predated the publicity that would aid later stars of opera. During his career, Enrico Caruso made over 260 recordings and made millions of dollars from the sale of his 78 rpm records. While Caruso sang at many of the world's great opera houses including La Scala in Milan and Covent Garden in London, he is best known as the leading tenor at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City for 17 years. Maestro Arturo Toscanini, who conducted some of the operas that Caruso sang in at the Met, considered him one of the greatest artists with whom he ever worked. Caruso's technique and style combined in a unique way the finest aspects of elegant, technically-polished 19th Century tenor singing with the emotionally-charged delivery and exciting, thrusting timbre demanded by the Verismo composers of the early 20th Century. Search For Charles Manson's Last Hideout: Finding Goler **Featuring actual Charles Manson recordings & his music, including the song "Arkansas" as well as recordings of the "Manson Girls". Hidden in a remote gold mining canyon, high above Death Valley, in the desolate Panamint Mountains of California, is the last hideout of infamous cult killer Charles Manson & his young followers known as the Manson Girls. Barker Ranch still stands today, abandoned & left to the elements, only a few hardy & prepared travelers can make the arduous journey through the uninhabited Panamint Valley and into Goler Canyon where Charles Manson and his "family" of young killers hid out after the brutal murders of actress Sharon Tate, the LaBianca family, and other unfortunate people who the "Manson Family" encountered during the summer of 1969. For several months after the Los Angeles area murders Charles Manson and his followers roamed the hills and valleys around Death Valley & dropped acid in the grungy confines of Barker Ranch. By December of 1969 the Inyo County police tracked the "Manson Family" down and found Charles Manson cowering under the bathroom sink of Barker Ranch (which I've photographed). We followed the "Manson Family's" steps from the San Fernando Valley to Trona Pinnacles & Goler Canyon high above Death Valley. It was easy to sense what these young killers must have felt as they struggled to get their old school bus up rugged Goler Canyon...just as we struggled to get my stock Jeep Cherokee 4x4 up the same canyon. Wandering through the still furnished rooms of Barker Ranch and imagining the Manson girls singing hippy folk songs left us with a very creepy feeling. We found the old bathroom where Manson hid from the police and recorded the entire premises around Barker Ranch. I managed to get actual audio recordings of Charles Manson, including songs from his 1968 LP LIE, which I've included in this short film of our journey in search of Manson's last hideout. If you are a fan of the macabre or crime history you will be fascinated. This is our story about Finding Goler! Also featuring the music of Tricky, The Goodlookins', Johnny Cash, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix & Jim Morrison, Portis Head, the Mason Family Girls, etc. Tags: Charles Manson Death Valley Goler Wash Panamint mountains Sharon Tate Jeep Cherokee 4x4 Girls Nancy Pittma |

Ja Rule Feat Fat Joe & Jadakiss - New York He attended Junior High School in Floral Park, New York, where he met his future wife Aisha Murray and they graduated in 1991. They attended Martin Van Buren High School together but he did not graduate. When Atkins was five years old, his sister died from respiratory problems. Growing up in a strict religious home, Atkin's family did not celebrate birthdays and Christmas, and as a child, was not allowed to listen to rap music. When he first heard it, he decided to be a rapper. He would sneak the music into his house and played it on his CD player when his mother wasn't around. Atkins is married to his high school sweetheart, Aisha Atkins née Murray. They have three children: Brittney (11), Jeffrey Junior (6) and Jordan (3).He and his family live in a mansion in New Jersey. Rise to Fame At age 15, Atkins appeared with 0-1 and Chris Black as part of Cash Money Click. This would lead to him being signed by TVT Records. He would end up being heard by a young DJ who called himself DJ Irv, then later Irv Gotti. Gotti, was a friend of Jay-Z's and he was also a DJ for Def Jam Recordings. During the mid 90s his main priority was meeting Ja Rule. He wanted to sign Ja to his new label Murder Inc. Records. He wanted Ja because of his distinct deep voice. After Irv was able to sign Ja along with DMX and Jay-Z to Def Jam. He beagn to have an idea that they all work together. They formed a group named The Murderers. They recorded many songs together. Friction tore the group apart, DMX, a rapper that sounds very similar to Ja accused him of trying to steal his style with the deep voice, by saying that before the three were signed Ja tried to make his voice sound lighter but heard him embrace the deep voice and tried to imitate it. They had planned to release an album together, but this idea was scrapped and they all made appearances on their respective albums. Still, around this time, Ja Rule was still fairly unknown. Jay-Z, at the time a young star and new to Def Jam, was the most popular rapper in hip hop. Russell Simmons had the idea that in order to build hype around Ja Rule and capitalize on Jay's popularity that Ja Rule do a verse on Jay-Z's 1998 single Can I Get A..., which also featured Amil. Ja's performance of the verse made him a household name and he became an instant star and by the release of his album a year later he was one of Def Jam Recordings premier acts. Venni Vetti Vecci (1999) In 1999, Ja Rule released his debut album Venni Vetti Vecci on Murder Inc./Def Jam. The album featured summer smash "Holla Holla". That single would propel the album to a platinum certification. His album featured appearances from Jay-Z, DMX, Memphis Bleek, and Ronald Isley. In 2000, Atkins was also featured on Irv Gotti's successful album, Irv Gotti Presents: The Murderers, which featured other Murder Inc. record label artists as well as DMX, Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes. Rule 3:36 (2000) In 2000 Atkins released Rule 3:36, his second album. The first released single was "Between Me & You" featuring Christina Milian, which proved to be a hit and was followed by another successful single, "Put It On Me" featuring Lil' Mo and Vita. The album received an unexpected level of support, and went on to go triple platinum. By this time Ja Rule was even more popular than Jay-Z and made an appearance on LL Cool J's G.O.A.T. album. Pain Is Love (2001) On October 2, 2001, Atkins released his third album, Pain Is Love. The first single, "Livin' It Up", was another hit. It featured guest vocals by R&B singer Case and sampled Stevie Wonder's "Do I Do". The follow up single, "Always On Time", was released in December of the same year and was yet another success. The song introduced the public to singer Ashanti, who performed the chorus. The album also featured the successful remix "I'm Real" with Jennifer Lopez. Finally, the album included the song "So Much Pain", a tribute to Tupac Shakur, and also went on to become triple platinum. Due to the additon of Ashanti, Lil Mo ended her relationship with Murder In Tags: ja rule |
