BBC Reports Live that WTC7 has fallen, yet it still stands BBC's public response on Wed 2/28: LINK: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theeditors/2007/02/part_of_the_conspiracy.html www.STOPROSIEENDAMERICA.com 1. We're not part of a conspiracy. Nobody told us what to say or do on September 11th. We didn't get told in advance that buildings were going to fall down. We didn't receive press releases or scripts in advance of events happening. 2. In the chaos and confusion of the day, I'm quite sure we said things which turned out to be untrue or inaccurate - but at the time were based on the best information we had. We did what we always did - sourced our reports, used qualifying words like "apparently" or "it's reported" or "we're hearing" and constantly tried to check and double check the information we were receiving. 3. Our reporter Jane Standley was in New York on the day of the attacks, and like everyone who was there, has the events seared on her mind. I've spoken to her today and unsurprisingly, she doesn't remember minute-by-minute what she said or did - like everybody else that day she was trying to make sense of what she was seeing; what she was being told; and what was being told to her by colleagues in London who were monitoring feeds and wires services. 4. We no longer have the original tapes of our 9/11 coverage (for reasons of cock-up, not conspiracy). So if someone has got a recording of our output, I'd love to get hold of it. We do have the tapes for our sister channel News 24, but they don't help clear up the issue one way or another. 5. If we reported the building had collapsed before it had done so, it would have been an error - no more than that. As one of the comments on You Tube says today "so the guy in the studio didn't quite know what was going on? Woah, that totally proves conspiracy... " HA! THEY say they lost the tapes from the single most important news day of our generation! They lost the 9/11 tapes HAHAH! That's hilarously absurd. ------ Someone on the inside was either trying to blow the whistle, or they had really shakey boots while engaging in this day's "false flag" event. I must say, the more we uncover, the more we see how incredibly sloppy they really were in trying to fool the world into thinking we have a "new enemy". I guess you can't blame the neo cons for trying, I mean after Russia fell, what choice did they have? "Oh! I know! How about we create a fake enemy?!" "Give that man a metal! How would you like to have a seat on the NYSE?!? Or how about a #3 position at CIA!?" At this point you just have you laugh your ass off at the absurdity of it all. At least we have those Democrats to save us! HAHAH! LOL! Tags: Rosie O'donnell Bill O'reilly WTC7 BBC Conspiracy files 911 September 11th controlled demolition |

Bolivia for Sale: Damian Lewis reports These are historic times in Bolivia with Evo Morales, the country's first ever indigenous president, being sworn into office in January 2006. Many of the reasons for his election victory can be attributed to a growing resistance to the economic model that Bolivia has been following since the 1980s. Characterised by the large scale privatisation of state owned enterprise and opening up of domestic markets, the policy has been blamed for huge rises in unemployment and continuing poverty. Large scale protests against water and gas privatisations in particular fuelled Evo Morales' victory. In 'Bolivia for Sale' Damian Lewis travels with Christian Aid to investigate the effects of privatisation in three key markets: water, gas and milk. The Evolution of Expertise (or, "The reports of authority's death have been g... Google Tech Talks November, 2 2007 ABSTRACT Does Web 2.0 represent a triumph of the wisdom of crowds, or the tyranny of mediocrity? The truth--as truths often do--may fall somewhere in the middle. New tools have indeed allowed access to new ideas, voices, and expertise. But at the same time, it has become increasingly difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff. In education, the shift from "the sage on the stage" to the "guide on the side" has been underway for quite some time. The same shift is happening on the web. Experts aren't disappearing, but their roles are changing. How can tools and infrastructure best support this shift in the role of expertise and authority? Speaker: Elizabeth Lane Lawley Elizabeth Lane Lawley is the director of the Lab for Social Computing at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she is also an associate professor of Information Technology. Her current teaching and research interests focus on social computing technologies such as weblogs, wikis, online games, lightweight online presence, and collaborative information retrieval. Before she became a technology professor, Liz was a librarian--with an MLS from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in Library and Information Science from the University of Alabama. She has worked for publishing companies, software companies, and even the Library of Congre... Tags: google techtalks techtalk engedu talk talks googletechtalks education |
