Sheldon and Anna's Tap Dance Routine This is an audition for the variety show Viva Volare. It is of Sheldon Carlsted (14) and Anna Fitzer (14) doing their award winning tap dance routine. They are on the cement floor because the stage has a very expensive rubber lining on it and the Theatre asked us not to have tap dancers on it. So these kids danced their hearts out and did a great job. Check it out! Tags: viva volare auditions Sheldon Carlsted Anna Fitzer Tap dance duet |

Aaron Russo talks with IRS Commissioner Sheldon Cohen Click here to watch the full movie: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4023196628588378412&hl=en Neither left- nor right-wing, this startling examination exposes the systematic erosion of civil liberties in America. Please suport this film, donate here: http://www.freedomtofascism.com/ Aaron Russo talks with former Chief Counsel and IRS Commissioner Sheldon Cohen. Mr. Cohen also is the AUTHOR of the TAX CODE! You WILL NOT believe what you hear! The US doesn't want you know know this! Article XVI which gives the congress the "power" to have a federal income tax, was found to be UNCONSTITUTIONAL by the Supreme Court! How congress can ratify anything found UNCONSTITUTIONAL is BEYOND me! http://www.claremont.org/writings/19970415arnn.html The Supreme Court declared it unconstitutional in 1895. Referring to the explicit prohibition against direct taxation in Article I, the court argued that the income tax would excessively enhance federal power in relation to state power. http://www.usconstitution.net/constamnotes.html#Am16 In 1895, in the Supreme Court case of Pollock v Farmer's Loan and Trust (157 U.S. 429), the Court disallowed a federal income tax. The tax was designed to be an indirect tax, which would mean that states need not contribute portions of a whole relative to its census figures. The Court, however, ruled that the income tax was a direct tax and subject to apportionment. This was the last in a series of conflicting court decisions dating back to the Civil War. Between 1895 and 1909, when the amendment was passed by Congress, the Court began to back down on its position, as it became clear not only to accountants but to everyone that the solvency of the nation was in jeopardy. In a series of cases, the definition of "direct tax" was modified, bent, twisted, and coaxed to allow more taxation efforts that approached an income tax. http://www.answers.com/topic/amendment-xvi...-s-constitution Congress passed the Sixteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1909, and the states ratified it in 1913. The ratification of the amendment overturned an 1895 U.S. Supreme Court decision that had ruled a two percent federal flat tax on incomes over $4,000 unconstitutional (Pollock v. Farmer's Loan & Trust Co., 157 U.S. 429, 15 S. Ct. 673, 39 L. Ed. 759). Article I of the Constitution states that "direct taxes shall be apportioned among the several states ... according to their respective numbers." What good is the constitution and the Supreme Court if the Senate and House and ratify anything found to be UNCONSTITUTIONAL . It is the Supreme Courts duty to overturn this UNCONSTITUTIONAL ratification. Sandi Sheldon - You're Gonna Make Me Love You Along with Leon Haywood's "Baby Reconsider", this song, "You're Gonna Make Me Love You", by Sandi Sheldon, on the legendary Okeh label, was one of the major records to turn an underground scene about Motownesque rare soul, into what we truly know as Northern Soul today. It was so supremely rare and brilliant in its obscurity, to create a whole generation of fans and record collectors. Sandi Sheldon was Van McCoy's girlfriend. Her real name was Kendra Spotswood, under which she first recorded for Van, on the Tuff label. Then she recorded for Phillips as Kenni Woods, and then as Sandi Sheldon on Okeh, also becoming lead singer of Van's girl group, The Vonettes, on Cobblestone Records. I was desperate to track her down for The Strange World Of Northern Soul documentary, and this took years to do, because, along with Tobi Legend and Dean Parrish, she was one of the three names who'd made massive Northern Soul classics, who had remained the most elusive to find over the years. So I finally did locate who she was through Van McCoy's sister, Mattie Taylor. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a truly warm and lovely person, and was so excited to come to England in 2002 and perform , for the first time, a record that had become almost a religious experience for fans of Northern Soul over the previous thirty three years prior to that. And of course we re-recorded it and filmed it for posterity. Tags: Northern-Soul Motorcity Van-McCoy Classic Sixties-Soul Twisted-Wheel Diva Girl-Groups |
