Computer playing StepMania with servos Computer plays StepMania CVS 4, controlling servos to press the arrow keys according to step sequences in StepMania files. It's my latest project, and this is a mere prototype. Lots more info and quite a bit of showing off in the video. It plays "Overdrive" (for the sake of avoiding typing a really long title which I can't translate) by IOSYS, and even gets a toasty on "Piano Variation for Remilia Scarlet". For the technically-minded, I'm using an SSC-32 (microcontroller), and 4 Hextronik 5gr (HXT500) micro servos. The program was made with Visual Basic. "Prodigy - Mindfields" (well, part of it) with Windows XP/98 Somebody showed me the song, and thought I could make at least part of it using XP/98 sounds, and they were right. =D I thought I'd never do something using sounds from XP/98 again, but I decided to give it one last shot. I didn't go all the way, because by the end of the video I'd got such a headache that I gave up. I had a headache because the way the music was going was into a style of music which I hate. It was actually a lot more work than the previous one (it's much easier to make up random tunes than to go along with an existing one). Also, it doesn't help that I don't really like and didn't know the song. ;P Still, I hope it can provide a little entertainment. So, please try to enjoy! Youtube Poop: Naruto and the King's PC I have an intro now! I also have more resources, and Sony Vegas! So hopefully you should see an improvement in my poops. Anyway, there is a preintro before the intro. Then after the intro, Kimimaro sparta kicks Naruto and Sasuke acts like the pansy he is. But then he explodes along with the rest of the place. Then it cuts to the King's PC, but it BSODs on him. But he had a backup Windows 95 PC, but it had been infected with "The Link/Stuff Virus". Music-synced Laser light / Speaker (Making and Playing with) The effect is a wiggling line of laser light on a surface, which can help you to sort of 'see' or visualize the bass of the music. I roughly followed the directions of a video explaining making this on MetaCafe.com, although he didn't explain it or demonstrate it much. ;) As usual, I hate naming things, so this has become known as the 'little laser speaker thingy which goes in sync with music'. ^-^ The little animation I made near the begining I drew on Paint, and it was very tedious. Computer-Controlled Toy Washing Machine (behind the scenes) This is the same washing machine as in the video uploaded by steeeven1. (He's my brother, he had the machine and is good with the components, I'm good at the programming, so we sort of came together to make this (the machine is still really his though)). This is a video I made showing a sort of behind-the-scenes view of it, and more information on it (Also doesn't blur on the close-ups of the program...) NOTE: When I typed the Hz of the pulses near the end, they are actually 10x slower than I typed. >_< E.g. 6400 bytes/sec baud rate = around 640 Hz. My crapness. Enjoy~! Circuit-bending sound and timing of keyboard(YAMAHA PSR-185) I'm playing around with the sound chip, which also seems to have a big effect on keeping the different tracks in sync (drums, bass, main tune, harmony tunes). Computer-controlled 'singing motor' - 2nd Video Showing off more of this fun little useless thing I made with my bro, after the rather brief original video. It shows how I've integrated it with my Bleeper Music Maker program to let you make music for the motor more easily. I said "I haven't shown you this before" because I actually made this video before I made my already-uploaded bleeper music videos. Robotic Arm Moving Cassette Tapes Between Piles (Lynx 6) I decided, after a very long time of doing nothing with my robotic arm, to make a program for it. It's nothing too fancy when I think about it (it did only take today and yesterday to make), but I was excited when I finally saw it working. =D By the way, the arm's a Lynx 6. Computer-Controlled Dual Fire Bell (Simple Program) My bro (Steeeven1 here on YouTube) was able to get hold of 2 fire bells, and he connected them to his usual combination of 'motor speed controller' and 'microcontroller'. The program is extremely simple and is just to test the circuits, really. A few minutes ago (before uploading this video) I programmed an on-the-hour chime, where they pulse the appropriate number of times (according to the hour) when the hour changes.
