Even my religion played a part im Roman catholic(automatically in Mississippi being black and catholic unheard of or your white washed and your not black enough)I have a sister(My parents divorced both are remarried now) and she is dark skin we have the same background but they love her and they hate me(heck im not even light).... I use to wish I was darker growing up because I hated being in between... I got picked on and called white girl and rich girl snobby snooty.. you talk like a white girl you must not have black in your family You live in that white folks neighborer hood.. Dumb question they us to say you must be Indian or something is that your hair.. Black people don't have red hair or long hair I dyed it black thinking maybe that would cut the red hair jokes... Im like look at my sister I am black well she acts black and her mamma black yours is not and she acts black you dont or yo mamma (okay so my mom is Irish/French/African American she is pale light skin she is still black) I mean my sister us to say dont listen to them there only jealous and we have always been close but (So I noticed SrgtWIlliePete its okay if your dark skin with long hair good hair but if your anything but dark your consider stuck up or think your better... ) Its not different in the south than the north if anything its worse especially if you are black with nice features and of course the hair I really got picked on when my class mates found out I went to Europe to visit my family.... oh you thank you better than us...
