Starfox 64 - Ending in Expert Mode Update: A "better" ending video is now up in the video response I set up. It has my best score, as well as the chase scene with James. --------- Another semi-test with my Capture Card. It's the ending, in all it's good quality glory. It's also the ending to my Venom II video (yes, it was recording as I played it that day). You even get to see the little art thing for when it's been beaten in expert mode. Enjoy! Star Fox: Route 1 Full Game I got to thinking the other day, the original reason that I applied for Director status was because I thought it removed the 100 MB cap. Boy was I wrong, and with the exception of my Super Metroid video, I haven't made any use of my director status. So I had to find a use. Since I was in a Star Fox mood, I decided to make a full run through Star Fox SNES on route 1. I know it's easy, but it's the shortest, and one of the best routes to show off on. I looked over it time and time again, and I narrowed a few mistakes. First off, I missed the twin laser in stage 2. I remember almost starting over when I did that. In stage 3, I flew into a wall during the boss fight, dropping my shield. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. Please excuse the quality, it's a little worse then usuall, had to reduce the quality a bit to stay in the 100 MB cap. Even in WMA format, the quality I shot it in still came to 170 MB. Star Fox 64 Youtube Poop: The Anti-climatic Death of Fox Edit: Title changed from "Star Fox 64 YTP (Remix): Cake Wars" This is my best Youtube Poop so far, in my opinion and according to the ratings and number of times favorited (as of now). I don't know how I'm ever going to top this one. To make a Youtube Poop like this, you have to have religiously watched/played the material you want to use. Star Fox 64 is the only work of entertainment (that includes movies, TV shows, and games) in which I memorized most of the dialog before Youtube even existed. People need to make more Star Fox YTPs, and not just SF64, but also Assault and Adventures. Star Fox: The Awesome Black Hole This video shows me playing Star Fox yet again on ZSNES, with the intention this time being to demonstrate how to get into the Black Hole and where it leads. For written instructions, to get into the Black Hole, from the level 1 Asteroid Belt, you need to shoot the spinning meteors as close as possible without crashing into the red one in the center (it may look like I hit one, but it was one of the grey ones that broke off when it was destroyed). After that, there should be a meteor with a face on it (like in the level 3 Asteroid Belt). Fly into the vortex that appears, and you go to the Black Hole. The area is a warp zone, so the video shows where all the warps go. First ring takes you to Sector Y, second ring goes to Sector Z, and the third ring dumps you at the level 1 Venom. If you take the second or thrid rings, you will change your course, and the game will continue on that course. You will notice the STATE 1 SAVED/LOADED messages at the bottom of the screen. There's a reason for this. I didn't feel like playing through the first two stages more than I had to, so I saved state at the right time and just played the Black Hole three times. Star Fox 2: Hard level full game Quite possibly the greatest unreleased game ever, Star Fox 2 never did see the light of day. Despite that, several beta roms made it out onto the internet, and anyone who knows about the game has a rom of it. With the most recent version of ZSNES, Star Fox 2 runs nearly perfect, I've played 4 games through now on hard and haven't crashed once. Now I feel confident to make videos of Star Fox 2. So, here it is, a full game, on hard difficulty. So far, it's my fastest run and my best scoring run too. One of the coolest things about this game was that the game setup was completly random, you never know what planets you're going to have to liberate, and you don't know what they're going to fire at you. Even cooler is that stuff is going on on the space front while you're busy taking out a base. And all this on a Super Nintendo game too, pretty amazing when you think about it. So, if you have a little more than a half hour to waste, sit back and enjoy the show, watch me as I fly into several walls and miss with twin lasers at point blank. I'm sure you'll like it. I'd like to add, from my experience, Star Fox Command is nothing like Star Fox 2. It has plenty of similarities, but it's not Star Fox 2. I have to wonder, am I the only person who plays in 3rd person in space missions in either SNES Star Fox? Whoops, after reviewing the video, it appears that I accidentally cut out 3 or 4 seconds from the mission details page at the end. Starfox 64 - Aquas (Expert) UPDATE!: I have a capture card now, and have fixed the contrast problem in the video response. Check it out! This is the first run I've done on Expert mode. I'm REALLY sorry about the brightness this time, as this is the darkest level in the game. I'm also button mashing ALOT in this level, due to the lack of bombs to clear out large groups of enimies. I think I did alright though, I've been trying to use my breaks a bit more often, and it shows in this video. Well, enjoy, I guess. Tags: Starfox Star Fox 64 N64 SF64 Aquas Expert |

Star Fox - Out of this Dimension Filling another request for Pokestein (sorry it's a bit slower than usuall, swamped with work this week), the secret stage of Star Fox, in 60 frame vision. It never fails how playing this level makes me feel like i'm having an acid trip, because that's about what it is. Psycadelic (spelling?) background, paper airplanes, and creepy music don't help either. I couldn't believe my luck this time around with the boss, lucky 7's in three shots. That's never happened to me before. Also note, there's an emulator glitch at the end of the run, sometimes it won't let you spell 'the end' properly Tags: Star Fox StarFox SNES Out of this Dimension |

Star Fox 64 Soundtrack (HD) - Staff Credits Fox McCloud (フォックス・マクラウド, Fokkusu Makuraudo?) is an anthropomorphic video game character from the Star Fox series. He was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and designed by Takaya Imamura. As his name implies, he is a red fox and the main player character of the series. In each game the player controls Fox, either on the ground or in his Arwing. He is the leader of the Star Fox team, and is joined by his wingmates on various missions. In the English release of Star Fox 64, he was voiced by Mike West. In both the Japanese release of Star Fox 64 and Super Smash Bros. series, Fox's voices were done by Shinobu Satouchi. For English dialogue of Super Smash Bros. Melee and Star Fox Adventures, Fox's voice was done by Rare's Steve Malpass. In Star Fox: Assault, his voice was done by Jim Walker in the English release and by Kenji Nojima in the Japanese release. Nojima reprised his role for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, leading to the possibility that Walker might do the same. In 1992, Argonaut Games and Nintendo collaborated to produce a 3D space shooter for the Super Nintendo, provisionally titled 'SnesGlider'.[1] The development team, led by Shigeru Miyamoto, redesigned what had been a tech demo into a rail shooter, with Nintendo designing the game and Argonaut handling the technical aspects.[2] However, without a story, it lacked incentives to play beyond flying and shooting. Miyamoto sketched out a fictional universe, but couldn't decide on a natural hero to convey a sense of an epic space battle. Names under consideration included Star Wolf, Star Sheep, Star Fox, Star Sparrow and Star Hawk. Miyamoto finally settled on having a fox as the main character after visiting Fushimi Inari-taisha in Kyoto, the head shrine of Inari, a Japanese kami associated with foxes. Inari is protrayed as being able to fly, and its shrines, particularly the one in Kyoto, are surrounded by red arches (torii), giving Miyamoto the idea of a fox that could fly through arches. Fox's face was modeled after Inari's, and always wears a red "scarf" around his neck, like the statue, with the exception of his design from Star Fox: Assault. Fox's personality is modelled after Miyamoto's, with the name 'Fox McCloud' being suggested by Dylan Cuthbert, one of the Argonaut team. In the original Star Fox, Fox wears an orange suit with a flight jacket and metallic boots, along with a communication device on his head. In Star Fox 64, he wears a green suit and his jacket sleeves are rolled up to his elbows. In Super Smash Bros. and its sequel, Melee, Fox appears as he did in Star Fox 64. In Star Fox Adventures, he has a white vest instead of a jacket, his headgear is replaced with a device on his wrist, and wears a knee pad on his left leg. He also wears a large backpack for carrying items, such as Krystal's Staff and the CloudRunner Flute. In Star Fox: Assault, his appearance changes drastically. He wears a green and red jumpsuit, a white vest, pads on his knees and shoulders, and his boots are red and black instead of gray. As in Adventures, his communication device is on his wrist. In Star Fox Command, Fox has gone back to his Star Fox 64 attire, but without his sleeves rolled up. In the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Fox has a similar appearance of his Star Fox 64 and Command designs. Although Nintendo has not officially cited Fox's height in a game manual, Nintendo Power released a card featuring Fox, which stated his height, during Star Fox 64, to be 5'8", his weight to be 155 lbs, and his age to be 18. If Logic is followed, Fox's age would be 26 in Adventures (as Adventures takes place 8 years after Star Fox 64, according to the game manual), 27 in Assault (the game manual stated 1 year had passed since the conclusion of Adventures), and 29-30 in Command. In the 1993 Nintendo Power Star Fox comic, Fox had a romantic relationship with Fara Phoenix. While slightly ambiguous, it is obvious that they held mutual affections for each other, by the way they flirt and hold each other on several occasions throughout the comics. Still, the comics are considered non-canon, since Star Fox 64 replaced the original SNES Star Fox title. Other appearances: Fox has small cameos in other games, notably Stunt Race FX, where a portrait of him can be found in track-side billboards. In F-Zero X and GX, a character named James McCloud is a playable racer, bearing the name of Fox's father. He has a similar appearance to Fox, with his hair looking like ears, and wears sunglasses as well. Star Fox 64 Area 6 Star Fox and the gang are attacking Area 6 and are so close to Venom. According to Nintendo Power Magazine General Pepper says: Area 6 is the Cornerian Defense Force's military designation for the most heavily defended sector of space around the planet Venom. We believe it is actually the most effective attack point to strike at Andross's palace, which would explain the heavy defenses. Our forces simply do not have the strength to punch through these defenses, but a small, quick team like yours might have a chance. If you can make it through the defensive cordon here, you'll have a straight attack run on Andross himself! Run The Gauntlet: This is the deadliest area of space you'll have entered so far. Andross has called out the rest of his fleet, including several squadrons of heavy cruisers. You can destroy the capital ships, but it will take a dead-eye aim and a quick trigger finger. Hyper lasers are essential, so try to arrive here with a full load of upgrades and do your best to keep your wings intact during the battle. Barrel rolls, braking and evasive maneuvers will be your keys to racking up points and keeping your ship in one piece. Pay special attention to calls from ROB 64. Great Fox can offer a lot of crucial support on this mission. Sensor Data: Umbra class...........31 Harlock class...........5 Zeram class............12 Mag Flux.............7% ECm Function............No Astronomic Data: This area of space has no unusual features, but it is the most convenient atmospheric re-entry point form which to strike at Andross's home base. The legendary battle station, Gorgon, which is quipped with a matter-displacement device, is said to control this area of space. Enemy Recon: Umbra Class Stations: Umbra-class defense stations are worth four hits each, so destroy as many as you can. (If you're not worrying about points, though, you might be better of targeting the swarms of fighters instead.) Hit them with a charged laser and follow with rapid-fire lasers. Be careful, as some of them will turn and bring all of their guns to bear on you. Ninjin Missiles: Though not as powerful as the Copperheads, Ninjin missiles are formidable weapons, nevertheless. They're faster, more maneuverable and tougher to hit than their larger counterparts. Even if they don't connect, the concussion will punch right through your shields. On the other hand, if you destroy one, you might receive a Supply Ring in return. Harlock-Class Frigates: Harlock-class assault figates are sleek, fast and deadly. Their numerous turbo lasers give them firepower of much larger ships, but you can penetrate their defenses, you can take them out. The ship's designers sacrificed significant amounts of armour plating for more speed. Just a few shots from your lasers should penetrate their hulls. Zeram-Class Cruisers: Zeram-class heavy cruisers are the largest capital ships in the Androssian fleet. They are heavily armed and armoured, and they're very tough to shoot down with a single laser. Target their bridges (the high, wedge-shaped structures), to destroy them. They're worth a total of six hits each. Shoot their guns separately to rack up extra points. Lylat Datalink: Great Fox: Developed by Arspace Dynamics Co., Ltd., manufacturer of the Arwing fighter, Great Fox was custom built under the direction of James McClound. Featuring three NTD-FX9 plasma engines, Great Fox is light-speed capable and has a real-space cruising speed that nearly matches the arwing's. Power for its two T&B-H9 hyper laser cannons is routed directly from the plasma engines, giving the ship the ability to punch through even a Zeram-class cruiser's shields. ROB 64 was developed in conjunction with Great Fox and is hard-wired directly to the ship's primary computer. James McCloud took out a low intrerest, 80-year mortgage to purchase Great Fox, a debt that his son is doing his best to repay. Star Fox 2: Expert A fair amount of people have been asking me to make another Star Fox 2 video (and by fair amount, I mean not many at all), so I decided that i'd make a full run through on expert difficulty. Expert Star Fox 2 is very difficult, especially the first time around. You need to liberate all 6 planets, take down 4 battleships, fight the entire Star Wolf team, deal with wave after wave of men sent at you (wonder if Zapp Branigan is behind that one), and overall, defend the planet from certain death. Very challenging indeed. A typical play of expert lasts about an hour, lucky for me, I was quick, and finished in 45 minutes (excluding the time it took to save each part of the video), and I think I did very well this time. Picked up a couple more Pepper coins (what they do, I don't know, but it's full health), stuck with one ship most of the time (though due to a glitch during Venom, I somehow transformed from Miau to Fox, it'll be pointed out), and kicked Andross' ass in the end. Check it out. Couple of things I want to point out. I didn't know until I shot this video, but aparently, Star Wolf members can join your regular space combat. There was some substansial slowdown in the fight with Wolf, I blame my computer, it must've been doing something at that moment as I was fighting. And, if it weren't for the turn into Fox glitch I encountered, I would have died in the fight against Andross. Tags: Star Fox Starfox two Expert |
