Third Man Out: A Donald Strachey Mystery Chad Allen stars as gay detective Donald Strachey in this gritty series of crime stories based on the popular novels by author Richard Stevenson. The first two installments, "Third Man Out" and "Shock to the System," follow Strachey through upstate New York as he works on solving crimes while facing walls of opposition from members of the local police force. In "Third Man Out," Strachey is commissioned to protect gay activist John Rutka, known for "outing" prominent citizens. Strachey abandons bodyguard duty when he feels that Rutka is staging the threats against him. When Rutka turns up dead, Strachey is faced with an extensive list of enemies all with enough motive to kill. "Shock to the System" is set to premiere in August, 2006. - http://www.heretv.com/strachey Tags: here! Shock to the System: A Donald Strachey Mystery When hard boiled private eye Donald Strachey (Chad Allen) finds his latest client dead, an apparent suicide, Albany's favorite gay detective smells a rat and decides to take matters into his own hands. With the help of his straight-laced but adoring husband Tim Callahan (Sebastian Spence) and his occasionally too-eager assistant Kenny Kwon (Nelson Wong), Strachey's investigation leads him on a dark and dangerous trail into the world of "gay conversion therapy" - a twisted mix of psychology and religion designed by Dr. Trevor Cornell (Michael Woods) to turn homosexuals "straight". With a cast of sexy young suspects at the heart of the mystery, and a standout performance from pop culture icon Morgan Fairchild as a wealthy socialite with a few secrets of her own, this second installment of the successful "Donald Strachey Mysteries", based on author Richard Stevenson's much-loved book series, is sure to leave even the most jaded audiences in "shock" - http://www.heretv.com/strachey Tags: here! A Donald Strachey Fan Video: When You Say Nothing At All NOTE: The volume is little bit low. I apologize for that but I hope you enjoy the video nevertheless. Call me corny, sappy, sentimental... call me whatever you want! But when I listened to this song I just knew I had to make a video for Don and Tim. They are just so cute and perfect together. I'm a huge fan of the Donald Strachey movies and for me a big part of their attractive is Dona dn Tim's relationship. I hope you like the video. The clips are from the four movies released so far: Third Man Out, Shock to the System, On the Other Hand, Death and Ice Blues. The song is "When You say Nothing At All" by Ronan Keating (from the Notting Hill soundtrack). Oliva - Part 6 Olivia is based on what is perhaps the most civilised and delicate girly-girl book ever written in Telluria, also called Olivia and written by Miss Dorothy Bussy Strachey, the sister of Lytton Strachey. The book is so subtle and beautiful that it is hard to believe a film could do it justice: but this one does. It was made in 1951, and directed by Mlle. Jacqueline Audry. The screenplay is by Colette. The story is once again set in a school (one of the main sources for all-girl settings in Telluria). This one has two headmistresses: a married couple who epitomise the qualities of blonde and brunette in the Aristasian sense. The blonde headmistress is played by Simone Simon. She is consummately blonde - delicate, sensitive, fluffy, and, unfortunately, at this stage in her life, rather neurotic. The brunette headmistress is played by Edwige Feuillère, known to her adoring fans as Edwige Première (Edwige the First, as in the title of a queen) because of her cool and imposing presence. In Olivia she plays a wonderfully wise, sophisticated and literate brunette headmistress. The heroine of the story is Olivia, an English girl who is sent to the school and becomes infatuated with the brunette headmistress. It is a delicate, beautiful coming-of-age story that could almost be taking place in Aristasia. Tags: femme femme-femme Victorian Edwardian lesbian Colette Takarazuka Mariasma Maria sama Marimite |
