Mesa Boogie Road King II with TC G-System & Port City 2x12 I decided to post a video of my new Road King II because of the lack of them on You Tube! C'Mon guys - Post some stuff! there's hardly anything out there either in terms of settings for the Road King II and I speak from experience when I say it took me about 2 weeks to finally get it tweaked to my liking. It's so versatile it's ridiculous and coming from a TriAxis rig, that says a lot. It has all the balls that the TriAxis rig lacks but with all the tone I loved about the TriAxis. I plan on using the TriAxis to give me a nice warm overdriven clean channel as well as utilizing the switching capabilities of it to change the channels of the Road King via midi so I don't have to tap dance between 2 pedals... The TC only has 2 relay switches for channel switching of heads, but they use stereo Y-cables and the Road King won't work with those, but you can use mono-cables but it only gives you 2 channels to control... yadda yadda yadda... There are a few midi controlled relay switches on the internet which I'd like to have but I am sort of broke at the moment thanks to the Road King... anyway - I know its pretty dark, but you get the point - I also want to mention the volume is only at 1.5 or 2 at the most - this amp is a MONSTER!!! I also love my new Port City 2x12 cabinet - it sounds bigger and better than my 4x12 Marshall cab which has served me well over the years, but it's going uh bye-bye I think... The TC G-System is amazing as well and I L-O-V-E it as well... I plan on posting some more videos to show the capabilities of the G-System as well as the different channels on the Road King II... I would love to hear your favorite Road King II settings and will be posting mine at some point as well. Enjoy! All rights reserved. Mesa Boogie Roadster is one of the best amplifiers a person could own. The amp comes with 4 channels, all having independent reverb, gain, volume, bass, mid and treble controls. Each channel comes with a separate control to change the wattage to 100 to 50 along with two versions of Rectification (diode and tube tracking). The amp is very loud and is very suitable for those who do large gigs. The amp also comes with an effects loop, mute button for tuning breaks, and a solo boost selection. Now talking about the various channels: Three modes, clean, fat and tweed. The clean mode is astounding with nice crisp cleans which defines each note remarkably. Each mode is set in such a way to increase the gain stages in the sound. This amp is not recommended by many Jazz players, as you won't get that soft sound. Clean, fat and British--This is for those who love to play rock Especially "AC/DC". Just use the British mode and turn the gain up to about 10:30 o'clock. The tone comes to a nice and dirty/gritty drive. Raw, vintage and modern-This channel is perfect for playing leads. Sound is somewhat like a heavily overdriven Marshall JCM800. This channel is perfect, the true Recto voicing for the heavy metal riffs. Very define sound and has a nice scooped smoothness to it. Mesa Boogie Road King II & Schecter Elite 007 Here is a SHORT SLOPPY clip of my new Schecter Elite 007 - 7 String and for the money it is HANDS DOWN the best 7-string I have ever played. It outperforms and stock wise sounds better than any of the Ibanez 7-Strings out there. It comes REALLY close to the EBMM Petrucci 7-String as well, but the neck is much better on the EBMM Petrucci model for sure. I just don't have an extra $2,000 to spend on one... who the hell does right??? Anyway - hope you dig it and I'll post a lot more soon!
