Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack Wonder Flute テツワン探偵 ロボタック ワンダフルート While many believe that the Metal Hero genre ended with B-Fighter Kabuto, Toei made two series beyond 'Kabuto: Kabutack and Robotack. This being a toy from Robotack means that this is one of the last toys of the Metal Hero Genre. The Wonder Flute was used to upgrade Robotack. It plays three short tunes. While this really isn't the greatest toy in the world, the design is pretty neat and the quality is a definite improvement. While I really don't have too much to offer with this review, i'm putting it out there because it's a pretty uncommon toy and...well now you know about it... ...plus I really REALLY like the song! Check out my latest mypsace blog about my favorite Super Sentai Series. http://www.myspace.com/cclemon99 Thanks for watching! Be sure to subscribe today! Astro Boy Tetsuwan Atom - 2003 - Japanese Intro Theme 1 The first Japanese theme to the 2003 anime Astro Boy tetsuwan atom (Iron Arm Atom). A homage and partial re-imagining of the 1950's manga and made to celebrate Astro birthday (as in the year 2003, the date the original manga was set in). Notice that the Japanese version has appropriated the western name Astro Boy. The Japanese once again have the better theme song (although I suppose that's a matter of opinion); rather than that mechanical/electric instrumental of the western version, here is a mostly upbeat jap-pop song from the Japanese band Zone (the song is called True Blue, as is evident in the OP). Of course some may find it dull; personally I think it's great, or at least better than the west's theme. The west didn't get this version of the theme because of a certain licensing deal between Zone and Tezuka Productions. It's also worth noting that the original version of the show, was in the widescreen format, 1.85:1 to be exact, it was cropped to the standard 4:3 format for American audiences, etc. The episodes were also cut for time - i.e more advertising space - and had the layout and pacing of the stories changed. I've loved all the versions of Astro Boy I've seen so far, although to be fair I've only seen one episode of the 1963 version. This one and the 1963 version are closer to the original version of Osamu Tezuka's manga than the 1980's version from what I've seen (not that there is anything at all wrong with the 80's version, which Tezuka played a big part in developing). Atlas's original design from the manga is used for one this series, the original design for Atlas dates back to 1956. I personally like this version because it has a cohesive story continuality, something which the 80's version didn't have so much of; of course that continuality went out the window when the US distributors messed around with the ordering. The use of this introduction theme clip/subject is claimed under 'Fair Use' on the grounds of: 1) the clip/subject is used for - and accompanied with - comments on the show. Comments include such things as the producers of the show (as in the production company/s), the year it first aired and how long the series lasted in 'standard length' episodes. Also noted is the availability of subject on high quality, officially licensed media (e.g. DVD). 2a) Inferior quality of video in relation to the quality of the original source. Being at a much lower screen resolution at a high level of compression. In addition to the substantial generation loss caused as a result of the methods used, the process also causes compression artifacts in the form of: loss of image clarity, noise, pixelization, et al. 2b) The inferior nature coupled with the incomplete nature of this recording and the diminished potential value therein of this recording in relation to the original work. 3) The trivial nature of the potential value of subject's introductory theme (hereon referred to as 'intro'), less the actual show that would otherwise follow. On the basis that it is the show - rather than the show's intro - which is, in essence, the primary draw of any 'realistic' potential audience and therefore the main fiscal worth of the subject (relating to audience/market share and sales of merchandising, i.e. DVD and video). 4) Bar the occasional glimpse at an episode's title car, the clip is of the intro and nothing else. The length of the clip is determined by that of subject's intro original length, no more is taken. 5) The poster and host both receive no revenue from this clip's existence on this site. Tama-chan's Gourmet Race (Tetsuwan Atom) As I saw quite a lot of these recently on Youtube, I wanted to do one to. I know, I know, this is crappy, this is so AMATEUR. And the worst side is... It took me ages to make this. Yuck. Anyway, an Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atom) Gourmet Race, with the Tamao/Alejo character. The reason for Tamao not to have his MARVELLOUS cap : I only had one episode to work on on the disk. And on this one he almost always was wearing these pajamas and that's all... The reason for the vid to be crappy : actually I made only the sound first and put some random video on it then. I know, that's so horrible. The reason for the vid to be annoying : even though he's cute, Tamao has a dumbface. --- I OWN THIS VIDEO, I MADE IT AND WAS THE FIRST TO POST IT THERE FOR THAT REASON. DON'T STEAL IT. I DON'T OWN ASTRO BOY (TETSUWAN ATOM). THIS IS THE EPISODE 20 OF THE 2003 SERIES. ASTRO BOY AND TAMAO ARE CHARACTERS © TEZUKA OSAMU. ...If anyone could be interested to get the mp3, then ask as a comment, I'll add it to the description.
