VTA Model 600 Dekatron Demonstrator (Sylvania 6802) The VTA Model 600 Dekatron Demonstrator, shown in normal operation with a Sylvania 6802 4 kHz neon-filled bidirectional counter. The Model 600 makes use of our custom Glow Transfer Computer (GTC), based on a 16F84 PIC microcontroller. The GTC is capable of driving most types of dekatrons, and the microcontroller is pre-programmed with multiple patterns which can be run at varying speeds. This leaves Robert Dirla in the lead with Danny Sawyer chasing close behind. Robert slowly begins to put some distance between himself and Danny. And by the four minute mark, Robert has stretched out a comfortable lead and there is a close battle between Chad Sharp and Myron for the 4th spot. Robert continues to stretch out his lead and has his sights set on Danny to put the whole field down a lap. Coming into the last corner, Robert closes the gap on Danny and drives straight through his door to complete the pass. However, Danny comes back on the inside and it's a drag race to the finish.
