I messed with it quite a bit before I filmed, but each time it came out drastically different. LOL I used FL Studio 8 and my Motif XS8 to make this one. The sound I'm using is actually an e-piano (patch is called "Drive EP AS1" on the Motif XS series. I adjusted the distortion and delay to make it sound like it is. They keyboard I'm using here is the Yamaha Motif XS8, which is the weighted-key version of the XS series (I'm finding I'm not a fan of weighted keys for most stuff besides piano). The patch I'm using is called "Buzz Around". Again, I like this new keyboard, but I discovered I'm not a fan of weighted keys (except for piano stuff). I might trade down to the XS7 eventually. I've read some reviews of this vid as if I'm trying to be a "keytar" player (apparently not a desirable thing, but how can you not like Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein") and that I should just play a real guitar. LOL @ some of those same people who probably play guitar hero (nothing against it but hopefully you see my point)! The irony! The point is, folks, if you find a fun/inspiring sound to jam with, by all means, you should JAM WITH IT! I don't care if you find a $3.00 plastic trumpet. BOBBY SOLO, la storia: Nel 1964 al Festival di Sanremo, Bobby Solo insieme a Piero Focaccia e a Gigliola Cinquetti alloggiò in un sottoscala dell'Hotel Royal. Ma il giorno dopo, con la presentazione di "Una lacrima sul viso", l'Elvis Presley italiano, viene subito trasferito in una suite all'ultimo piano. Inizia così, a 19 anni, la favola di Bobby Solo. In realtà il brano, cantato in coppia con l'americano Frankie Laine, non ha fortuna in riviera. L'emulo del grande re di Memphis, per la paura e l'emozione, fra mille polemiche e controversie, canta in playback; Laine, invece, è costretto ad operarsi ai denti all'ultima ora. La vendetta, però, arriva l'anno successivo: vince con "Se piangi se ridi" (canzone che si basa sugli accordi di una composizione di Presley) in coppia col celebre gruppo americano The Minstrels, tra le cui fila militano personaggi come Kenny Rogers, Kim Carnes e Barry McGuire. Bobby Solo, appassionato di Marlon Brando e James Dean, può comprarsi la sua prima macchina da sogno: una Porsche Carrera, rossa con l'interno in pelle nera. La sua carriera va a gonfie vele con brani come "Non c'è più niente da fare", "Siesta", "Domenica d'agosto", "Una granita di limone". Tuttavia Bobby Solo non rinuncia al suo primo amore, il rock and roll, al suo mito, Elvis. Ripresenta ballate romantiche e ripropone "Una lacrima sul viso". Ritorna in auge.
