Alesis Micron Jam 1: Sunset A little jam on the Alesis Micron. Leave a note if you like it, and I'll record more! For the curious: This is all a single setup I made, called "Sunset", using stock programs. Here's what's inside: Part A (lower octave): "SunsetPad" 4-bar pattern using "Solar Wire" program. Part B (lower octave): "SunsetBassline" 4-bar pattern using "JacoInTheBox" program. Part C (upper octaves): "Sandpaper Lead" program. Z-knob is mapped to fuzz pedal level. Part D (upper octaves): "Arp Answering" arpeggio pattern using "EP? OK!" program. Part E: "HH Hardcore" drum program, overriding drum B in the beats. Part F (low D): "PR Squirch" drum program. Beat A (low C): "Minimal 1" rhythm, latched. Beat B (low C#): "Roll 01" rhythm. Beat C (low D): "What Up 4" rhythm, latched. Alesis Micron FM Experimentation What you are hearing is Oscillator 1. The volume of OSC 2 and 3 are at 0%. They are being used to modulate the frequency of OSC 1. I have assigned "FM" Amount to knob x, "FM Type" to y and "Osc Sync" to z. I have only touched upon the FM capabilties of the micron. The end result of FM can be manipulated and is affected by an large quantity of parameters for each oscillator such as waveforms, waveshape, pitch. Alesis Micron Audioslave Solo Instructional Video This video is for you if you would like to learn the guitar solo bridge (I think bridge) of Audioslave's "Like a Stone." Alesis SR18 I rushed these beats and the video. I was just too excited! High Definition Stereo Multi-Sampled Drum Machine With Dynamic Articulation These are the first beats I made with SR18 and i'm jamming over them. I just received the SR18 and i'm impressed. Fletch Theme - Alesis Ion and Juno 106 Using the Oscillator Sync feature on the Ion. Both oscillators use Square waves. You first hear Osc 1 (transposed 1 octave lower) and then I turn up the level knob for Osc 2 (transposed 1 octave higher, and full pitch modulated by LFO 2 at approx 2,3% with a 0,7-Hz rate). I also use the Unison mode to beef up the sound (4-voice unison, detuned by 5 semitones). The filter is wide open, and set on "Ob 2-Pole LowPass". The music is a free adaptation (not 100% accurate) of the theme by Harold Faltermeyer for the movie "Fletch" featuring Chevy Chase. Axel F - Alesis Ion and Juno 106 Beverly Hills Cop theme (by Harold Faltermeyer) performed on an Alesis ION (analog modeling synthesizer) and Roland Juno 106 (digitally controlled analog synthesizer). I had to simplify the left hand a little bit during the "chords" part cause otherwise it would have required a few hours of practice and I couldn't be bothered ;) The first part of the song is played as transcribed in a "Synthesizer Greatest" music book I bought when I was about 13-year old (early 90's), i.e. in E with a slightly different bass line than the original. P.S.: I know the original song is in F. The music book has the song transcribed in E so I learnt to play it in E without checking the original track.
