Article written in the Cambridge News March.10th monday ANGRY students have blasted Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) claiming a string of blunders were made on a prestigious postgraduate course. Naomi Sugai, who represents students on the £4,725-per-year MA in Management, says classes have been cancelled without warning, and students have been given a limited choice of the advertised modules. She slammed the university as "slow and inefficient" - and described its own management system as "ludicrous". She is now threatening to report ARU to an independent adjudicator. The 24-year-old said: "They are supposed to be teaching us about smooth management, but they can't even do it themselves. It's hard to take what they say seriously." The eight students who started the course only found out one lecture had been cancelled when they turned up at the venue on their timetable to find it deserted. Miss Sugai, said: "It makes us angry to think lecturers can pull out at the last minute with no reason and not get reprimanded. It is unprofessional to say the least." She claims different modules cover the same material, meaning students do not get "value for money". She also said there was a limited choice in what options to take - despite the university website's assurance of "a comprehensive range of option modules". Now Miss Sugai is threatening to report the university to the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education. ARU is bottom of the Sunday Times University Guide. An ARU spokeswoman said meetings to discuss the issues had taken place, and current and former students had indicated they were "happy" with the course. Extra options have since been added. She said: "Our alumni state that the course content of our MA programmes provides the necessary skills and knowledge required by global organisations. "We do get students raising matters of student choice on low-recruiting programmes. "This, in practice, is an issue and we try and resolve it in the way we have made our recommendations to this group of students. The Humanitarian Mission of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces The Mavil Aru dam is safe. Water is flowing. And the Tamil Tigers(LTTE) has withdrawn after the Security Forces advanced to take over the territory which controls the flow of water to the farmers downstream of Mavil Aru. This is the latest after the Sri Lankan Air Forces bombed the LTTE positions held by the Tiger cadres in Mavil Aru territory. Kheliya Rambukwella, Government defence spokesperson, confirmed that the government is now in control of the sluice gates. The government's objective was to be in command of the sluice gates without letting the LTTE control the flow of water. The government threw in all it forces from air, land and sea to push the LTTE out of the Mavil Aru area. There were casualties on both sides. LTTE took the brunt of the attack, losing over 45 cadres. Many more were injured. The record, as it stands now, shows that the LTTE has lost unexpected number of its cadres, lost control of Mavil Aru dam and sluice gates and lost territory. The Security Forces are satisfied that despite the loss of cadres it has won a politically significant battle more than a military victory. This victory is also a defeat for Erik Solheim who was hoping to save his LTTE allies by urging both parties to withdraw to their original positions which meant conceding territory to the LTTE. The Government's refusal has paid dividends. Aru issho ni iru Ah, my first Naruto AMV! Took a few months, ne? And it's a SasuSasku tribute! I'm not a hater of the pairing, but I'm not a complete lover, either, especially of what I hear about NaruSaku...how could you, Sakura?! -cough- Anyway, I can go on forever about that. I was thinking of changing my Gaia Online profile theme to Naruto, and since my good friend Saku-Shina-chan [aka Shina-chan aka Sakura Shina xDD;] on there simply loves SasuSaku, I decided to do my theme as that for her ^__^ So yes, this video is dedicated to Saku-Shina-chan! -luffluff- It took me a while to start, though. I couldn't find the right RMVB converter, so I couldn't use the Naruto clips I got, and then when I finally found one, I couldn't figure out the music to use. Sasuke's and Sakura's relationship is sorta hard to define-- it's obvious Sakura loves Sasuke, but Sasuke...I believe he does have some feelings towards her, but he can't commit to them because of the whole thing with his brother, so he acts like he doesn't care about her at all. Episode 109, anyone? But as I was searching through my iTunes, I came across Utada Hikaru's 'Final Distance'. The music was beautiful yet had sorrow intertwined with it, and one look at the lyrics told me I found just the right song. Saying that, the song, and the AMV, is from Sakura's POV, as expected. I think it turned out pretty good...maybe...not really. -is feeling to inferior to some other SasuSakue vids she saw- There are a few scenes with them as a group, and I felt that was needed, especially for the line where it was 'yokusoku doori janai kedo trust me' [ It's not as I promised, but trust me ]. Sakura had mentioned once the four of them as a group, and how they'd have fun and be together and such. Or rather, she was referring to herself personally, but I broadened it as I felt she meant that as well. So, since everything's not going as she promised, with them happy together, I put the image of them as a group. The other times were for the same effect as well. They are, after all, a group, he's seen mostly happy when they're together as a group...the group's important, 'kay? xD No worries, it's still about SasuSaku even in the group xP Anyhow, if you haven't seen until Episode 136 of Naruto, I suggest you don't watch this-- spoilers could be abound for you. The title, 'Aru issho ni iru' means 'I need to be with you' in English, and yes, it is an English line in the song. Hope the AMV's all right, especially for Saku-Shina-chan!
