NE-YO FT. BANGLADESH "A MILLI" REMIX (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) Mr. Shondrae Bangladesh whom "single handedly saved hip hop", according to hip hop heavy weight Busta Rhymes. Lil Wayne's "A Milli", produced by Mr. Bangladesh, anchored Wayne's album into a stunning 1 million units sold in its first week. Bangladesh's "A Milli" beat is said to be the Most Rapped on beat in hip hop history. Artist such as Jay-Z, Fabolous, Chris Brown and Lil Mama have all re-recorded verses on to the "A Milli" beat. But it was Neyo's verse, which Neyo said "is not a Chris Brown diss", that sparked internet mayhem and became the #3 most downloaded song on iTunes. Director Gabriel Hart, Mr. Bangladesh and Neyo took the momentum of the remix to another level by creating a blazing video for the song. Shot in Los Angeles, the video fuses eye-catching movement with Hart's signature visually aggressive style. The video is sure to be a television and internet classic. Expect to see and hear more heat very soon from Neyo, Mr.Bangladesh and Director Gabriel Hart. OFFICIAL BANGLADESH/COMPOUND ENTERTAINMENT REMIX! The Young Hardworking Poor of Rural Bangladesh The poor aren't lazy. In this video I meet 30 kids who were forced to choose between either putting food on the table or getting an education. They are able to study part-time (for two hours each day) because local community members in this rural village pooled their money to form an informal school. The school teacher teaches these children English, Bengali, and Math all for a salary of $15 a month. Part Two is Available Here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=83edvBwXJKI For more information about what I'm doing in Bangladesh, check out my blog at: http://uncultured.com In the video, one of the kids said he sells "paan". Here is some info on what that is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paan By request, I am including a link for more information on Bangladesh: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangladesh Bangladesh is a small country with over 150 million people (half the population of the USA) in South Asia. It is not Mexico (!?). About My Reaction to the Various Names: This video isn't scripted - those were my genuine reactions at the time. I still have problems pronouncing the various Muslim names in this country. The regional accent made it even harder to understand the names. One of the reasons I asked "You're Muslim and your name is Johnny?" is because Western/European names are usually common with the Christian community that lives in an adjacent town. Otter Fishing - Bangladesh March 1997 In the world's most crowded country, Bangladesh, it's hard to imagine there's any room for nature. But we discover a unique relationship between man and beast. Crashing around in a log box, two otters in rope harnesses are desperate to get to their food. A fisherman lifts the lid and out they dive to munch on the fishtails scattered outside their wooden cage. Bengali fishermen use these otters to herd fish into their nets. Every year Bengali menfolk bid their families farewell and sail downstream to catch their fish. With a sharp smack on the bottom, the otters are dispatched into the water and told to swim for their keep! More often than not, they get caught up in the nets and incur verbal abuse from their masters. As crimson sunset falls, the fishermen cook by their fires and the otters curl up in the boxes and go to sleep. Tags: Bangladesh Otters Logs animals Journeyman Pictures |

Bangladesh Anthem My golden bangla, I love you Forever your skies, your air set my heart in tune as if it were a flute, In Spring, Oh mother mine, the fragrance from your mango-groves makes me wild with joy- Ah, what a thrill! In Autumn, Oh mother mine, in the full-blossomed paddy fields, I have seen spread all over - sweet smiles! Ah, what a beauty, what shades, what an affection and what a tenderness! What a quilt have you spread at the feet of banyan trees and along the banks of rivers! Oh mother mine, words from your lips are like Nectar to my ears! Ah, what a thrill! If sadness, Oh mother mine, casts a gloom on your face, my eyes are filled with tears! Tags: bangladesh national anthem 1971 tagore pakistan dhaka bangla |

Super Tuesday - Words of Hope from Bangladesh I'm not trying to tell you who to vote for. I'm just hoping Super Tuesday can be used to make the world a better place. I was a student at Notre Dame University in the United States before I was inspired to come to Bangladesh to try and make a difference. For more info on what I'm doing in Bangladesh check out my blog at: http://uncultured.com The candidates specifically mentioned in this video include (in order): John McCain (R): http://johnmccain.com/ Hillary Clinton (D): http://www.hillaryclinton.com/ Ron Paul (R): http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ I mention these candidates because they were relevant to the topics I was touching upon. No endorsement or affiliation is implied. This video also includes footage from my previous trip the Cyclone Sidr Disaster Area in Bagerhat, Bangladesh. George Harrison honoured for "Concert for Bangladesh" NEW YORK, USA, 1 August 2006 -- Thirty-five years after George Harrison's 'Concert for Bangladesh' raised over $15 million for UNICEF, the late Beatle has been inducted into the Madison Square Garden 'Walk of Fame'. The concert was the first of its kind and is recognized as the inspiration behind more recent humanitarian fundraising ventures like 'Band Aid' and 'Live Aid'. Last autumn, Olivia Harrison, who received the plaque today, opened a fund in her late husband's name with an initial donation of $1 million. The George Harrison Fund for UNICEF specifically targets UNICEF programs in Bangladesh but also provides lifesaving assistance to children suffering from civil conflict, natural disasters and poverty elsewhere. L'unico pozzo sicuro versa in pessime condizioni. Tags: unicef italia bangladesh protezione igiene infanzia arsenico pozzi acqua |
